Dismantling and providing sleepers at correct spacing (0.6 m c/c) “Providing and fixing Mild Steel (MS) Sleepers fabricated from IS 2062 – Fe 410 grade MS plates/sections of size approximately 1200 mm to 1400 mm in length and 150 mm to 200 mm in width with a thickness of 5 mm to 8 mm. Sleepers shall be placed at 600 mm center-to-center spacing along the railway track. Each sleeper shall be provided with required holes or welded clips for proper fixing of rails, aligned accurately, and leveled by compacted ballast packing underneath. All sleepers shall be cleaned, coated with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint to protect against corrosion. Work includes labor, fabrication, transportation, handling, surface preparation, painting, and installation at site complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.”

Fixing of rail joints, including cleaning of joint surfaces, application of grease, and tightening of bolts to ensure proper alignment and connectivity.

Supplying 40mm gauge ballast, spreading uniformly, and compacting to the required profile and density for track stability.

Fabrication and installation of Mild Steel (MS) pipe barriers of 32 mm diameter, including cutting, welding, painting, and fixing in position as per design.

Construction of cross drains 300 mm wide, including excavation, concrete work, and placing of precast cover slabs for effective drainage.

Carrying out miscellaneous maintenance works, including greasing of fish plates, minor track alignment corrections, and other related tasks.

Supplying and laying vibration absorption mats beneath tracks to reduce noise and vibrations, enhancing ride comfort.

Cleaning of track areas, including removal of vegetation, debris, and other obstructions to maintain clear and safe tracks.

Removal of rust and corrosion from track components, performing necessary welding repairs, and repainting to protect against future corrosion.

Installation of seat belts in all bogies, including supply of materials and fixing as per safety standards.

Supplying and installing ISI-marked portable fire extinguishers (ABC type – 4/6 kg capacity) at designated locations across the train and station area, including brackets, signage, and training on use. Includes testing and certification from competent authority.

Supplying and mounting first aid kits equipped with standard items (bandages, antiseptic, burn cream, painkillers, scissors, gloves, etc.) at station offices and in train compartments, per safety norms. Includes labeled, waterproof containers and periodic refilling provisions.

Scraping old paint, cleaning surface, and repainting warning lines (yellow/white) along platform edges and safety signs using weatherproof enamel paint. Includes lettering for safety instructions in bilingual format and directional arrows.

Supplying and installing soft cushioning foam pads with washable, non-toxic, fire-retardant covers on seats in bogies. Design to ensure child safety by eliminating sharp edges or hard surfaces.

Providing and installing manual emergency stop switches at key points along the train path and inside bogies. Includes wiring, signage, test activation mechanism, and integration with braking system for instant response.

Supplying and erecting MS/HDPE fence or railing (1.2m height minimum) on both sides of track to prevent unauthorized access. Includes excavation for posts, concrete foundations, and anti-corrosive painting or powder coating.

Supplying bound logbooks or digital logs for recording daily inspection, repairs, and safety checks of the children’s train. Includes structured formats, training staff on entries, and monthly review reports.
