Excavation in soil/terrain/land at the project site which includes all kinds of soils or rock or soils and rock which can be excavated by Manually or by Mechanical excavators or by heating or by any other approved method or by all of these methods or by any combination of these methods and up to 1.50 M depth from Existing Ground Level(GL/EGL/NGL) or the terracing level formed by massive cutting whichever is lower, for foundations of wall, columns, plinth beams, basement, raft, ducts, trenches, pits, underground sumps, ETP tanks, septic tank, soak well, manhole chamber, gully chamber, Utility chamber, inspection chamber, catch pit chamber, equipment foundation, machinery foundation, box cutting for formation of road, including all lift, shoring, strutting, bailing out water/pumping off water if required, re-filling the trenches, foundation pits etc all as excavated, ramming, watering, consolidating in 30 cms to 40 cms layers as directed, the item also includes all the lift and all the lead for handling and re-handling of all the earthwork operations involved for removing and stacking the excavated stuff any where within the site area or at the nearby other plot/location; simultaneously or intermittently or as and when required, including bringing back the excavated stuff as and when required for re-filling or plinth filling, for land development, back-filling etc at the project site including all the operations of levelling and consolidation etc complete as directed. The excavated surplus earth stuff at the project site and at the nearby other plot shall be levelled as directed. (Refer Item no. 1.01 for detailed specifications in Section IV). In the case of excavation required in the filling areas at a later stage and as directed, the same shall be measured from the level of filling carried out already, if any for the consideration of depth (lift). This item shall not be applicable for massive cutting-filling works for land terracing which shall be paid under relevant item provided separately under this contract. For excavation in trenches for laying of pipes and cables (and all the services), excavation and all related earthwork are included under the respective items of pipes and cables etc services even if it is not specified under the respective item. Bidder must visit the project site and arrange to evaluate about the type of soil/terrain/land exist there and the actual lead distance between the project site and the nearby plot/location of the Service Note : For detailed specifications please read Section V instead of Section IV
