Excavation of cable trench:-This item shall be operated in conformity with IS:1255(latest version) i.e. code of practice for installation and maintenance of HT/LT cables. The price shall cover cost of excavation of cable trench in all type of soil for laying LT cables and back filling the same with sieved earth and finishing the surface in its original condition after providing sand, & bricks in cross position. For LT/HT cables the trench shall be 600mm wide x 1000mmdeep. In 17 trench the cable shall be covered with rivers and at a depth of 100mm below the cable and 100mm above the cable than placing well-burned bricks continuously in cross position through out the cable route in the ground. The bottom of the trench should level free from stones and sharp edge of rocks etc. At the termination a loop of 5 meter(approx.) cable shall be kept as allowance and loops rings be formed as per the site condition, in the ground, The cost shall include the cost of all materials i.e. sand, bricks, cable route markers (grouted in the earth firmly with cement concrete so that it can not be uprooted by miscreants) etc at 25m.interval and each turn of the cable.

Supply and installation of Test lead Points (TLP/Test stations) Small Size (300mm X 275mm X 230mm) Type A, with lockable door in weather proof IP-55 construction as per specifications and standard drawings complete with backlite connection plate, connection studs terminals, 4” dia heavy duty pipe, base plate welded at the bottom including MS bend for concrete base, M-20 grade concrete foundation as per standard drawings & miscellaneous works such as excavation and backfilling for foundation/trenches for cable laying. The work shall include PCC over foundation after installation of TLP, supply & fixing of a name plate containing the details like KM location, identification, TLP No., Marking of connection scheme, type etc., on the inside of the cover including the cost of all labour, materials, tools & tackles etc.

Supply, laying, testing & commissioning of 160 mm dia. HDPE pipe (PE-100, PN-6) conforming to IS:4984 or latest, for cable laying by trenchless Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method as per IS:1255, IE Rules, CPWD and Indian Railways specifications, including detailed route survey, marking of alignment, pilot drilling, reaming, supply and laying of pipe by pull-back method with butt fusion/electrofusion jointing, use of suitable drilling fluid, and maintaining required depth 33 and alignment (generally 1.5 m to 3.5 m or as directed). The work shall include preparation and submission of complete HDD report comprising route alignment drawings with chainage and coordinates of entry/exit points, section-wise details of HDD lengths, depth profile graphs (depth vs chainage), HDD logs, and photographic records, as per site requirements. The item also includes testing, quality assurance, protection of existing utilities, disposal of slurry, restoration of site, and all incidental works complete in all respects as directed by Engineer-in-Charge & as per explanatory note.
