M&L water proofing treatment of roof as per details given below complete all as specified and as directed. (a) Taking out old roof treatment and roughening the old concrete slab by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust etc and disposal of rubbish outside MOD Land. (b) Filling of cracks upto 3mm by using asian paints crack seal or equivalent as approved by Engineer-in-Charge/GE. (c) Screed bed or bedding layer of 10 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 with mixing of WPC as per manufacturers instructions and surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement after applying a coat of cement slurry @ 3kg/sqm. (d) Surface should be throughly cleaned by using water & vacuume cleaner to avoid 'Peeling off' Problems (e) Apply a coat of self priming smart care dampproof ultra (code 5698) of M/S Asian paints or equivalent in M/S Dr fixit or M/S Pidilite or M/S Sika chemical with 30% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours ( dilution and coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturers instructions). (f) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/S Asian paints or equivalent in M/S Dr Fixit or M/S Pidilite or M/S Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same primed surface and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours. (g) Prepare for apply 2nd coat of water proofing smart damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/S Asian paints or equivalent in M/S Dr fixit or M/S Pidilite or M/S Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same surface the temp to be maintained 25 to 35 C through out all above application work. Note : (i)The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicators of the following manufacturers only. Make : M/S Asian paintsor equivalent in M/S Dr fixit or M/S Pidilite or M/S Sika chemical or equivalent as approved by GE.
