Supply and install heavy-duty, acid- and corrosion-resistant GI perforated cable trays, fabricated in standard 2 mm-thick, 400 mm-wide × 50 mm-high sections complete with matching covers. Each tray run shall be supported on 40 × 6 mm GI L-angle brackets fixed to the wall or ceiling, capable of accommodating three stacked layers of 400 × 50 mm trays; clamps rated for 15 cable rungs shall secure the trays at uniform intervals. Tray sections shall be joined using fish plates sized to the tray profile, and all fixings—including tray joints and structural supports—shall employ threaded rods or other approved corrosion-resistant fasteners. The contractor shall also provide all necessary GI bends, tees, reducers, cross-members, clamps, hot-dipped galvanised iron angles, anchor bolts, and steel bolts. In both horizontal and vertical configurations, trays shall incorporate flat rungs at 300 mm centres and robust side rails engineered to resist deformation over the service life. Cables shall be secured with appropriate clamps to prevent contact with side rails during installation and operation. Additionally, side runners shall feature holes at one-metre intervals for earthing strip cleating, and tapped holes at one-metre centres on both the top and bottom surfaces shall facilitate the secure attachment of tray covers.
