Replacement of existing Fan Protective Metal Net Guards with newly fabricated safety guards at Calcutta Pavlov Hospital, Kolkata
Supply, fabrication and installation of circular-type wire mesh net guard suitable for 48" sweep A.C. ceiling fans for the safety protection of patients. The guard shall be fabricated from 25×4 mm MS flat having an approximate dimension of 1275 mm × 350 mm (D × H), with six vertical legs and three horizontal MS supporting flats at the bottom for proper fixing arrangements. The net guard shall have a hinged arrangement with complete centre opening for ease of maintenance of the ceiling fan. The entire structure (both vertical and horizontal members) shall be covered with 1.40 mm thick wire mesh, fixed by spot welding to the MS main frame and at each wire intercrossing, including all allied works. The fan guard shall be fixed to the ceiling with suitable fasteners, bolts, nuts and clamping arrangements with mending good the damages as directed by EIC.Cost of Buy-back value of the existing dismantled and replaced metal net guards (each weighing approximately 17 kg), including removal of the same from the hospital campus with the contractor’s own manpower and transportation to be deducted as directed by the EIC.
