"Assisting BCM and screening of additional Set ballast width for converting entire width of ballast profile upto center of Pts. & Xing. or upto desired width from the center of Pts. & Xing. on either side or upto the depth as per specification including partial dismantling of switch/crossing portion of adjoining line and putting back of sleeper, switch and crossing body, fitting and fixing of all components after BCM as per direction of Engineer-in- Charge at site. The rate also includes shifting of cutter bar, removal of any obstructions, etc. The rate also includes the following : i) Assisting BCM working during block hours by providing sufficient labour for placement of chain, cutter, blade and other allied accessories. (ii) Opening, squaring and screening of ballast including additional width of ballast on both side of Pts. & Xing. which doesn't come under scope of cutter of BCM (iii) Screening to be done by 20mm sieve in separate clean ballast from muck. Clean ballast to be put back to track (iv) Drawing of ballast to the Pts. & Xing. within 100m lead wherever defficiency of sufficient ballast arises for proper working of machine (v) Dressing and levelling of cess to proper profile to make it fit for working (vi) Disposing off muck released from BCM and muck from manual screening of additional width and earth excavated from cess sufficiently away from the track. In case of cutting, the muck should be thrown beyond catch water drain. (vii) Additional width of deep screening manually should be in progress alongwith BCM. (viii) Making out proper ramp by" "providing wooden block (support) at the time of days work. Wooden block to be supplied by Railway. (ix) Ensuring safety of track for safe passage of trains after cancellation of block. (x) The rate also includes removal of any type of obstruction in BCM working like rail posts, boulder, concrete pillars and rails, etc. (xi) All the work should be carried out as per specification of IRPWM and as per direction of Eingineer-in-Charge. (xii) Kutcha packing of track should be done immediately after deep screening to make the track fit for passing trains at 20Kmph. (xiii) Respacing of sleepers to specified center to center distance during BCM working. (xiv) If required, gas cutter to be used for cutting of rails. (xv) If required, drilling of holes to be done by machanical means. (xvi) Assisting Unimat/MPT machine for pre-block work to ensure smooth tamping as directed by Engineer in charge.
