Maintenance of storage type electric water heaters(Geyser) of storage capacity 25 ltrs comprising of the following tasks and all as per specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. (a) Inspection taking down, opening (dismantling),descaling, brushing cleaning of storage tank and painting internally with one coat of proprietary bituminous compositions not liable to impart taste or or odour or otherwise contaminate the water. (a) Examine water tightness of storage tank after cleaning. (b) Carry out operation of all stop cocks,pressure reducing valves etc to ensure free movement of the working parts. (c) Replacement washers and glands of all taps and ball valves to ensure water tightness. (d) Visual examination of fusible plug to (e) Descaling of the immersion type heating element and cleaning with diluted hydrochloric acid or "clear pedette" solution and testing before refitting. (f) Replacement/repair of neon lamp/indicator lamp. (g) Replacement of the rubber/PVC gaskets to ensure water tightness.. Note : (i) Attending complaint during the currency contract period on phone call and rectification with in 24 Hrs. (ii) The spares will be measured and paid seperately.
