Grading roof for water proofing treatment with water proffing compound, Cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size).

M & L for water proofing treatment on existing cleaned RCC roof with following specification and manufacturer Instruction complete all as specified as directed. (a) Applying bitumen primer confirming to IS-3384-1986 over the cleaned plaster surfaces as per IS-3067-1966. (b) Applying a layer of APP based polymeric membrane 3.0mm thick (minimum) weighing 3.0 Kilogram per sqm (reinforced with polyster non oven fabric weighing not less than 160 Gmss per sqm by torch application. The over laps shall be minimum 100mm on the transverse direction and 75 mm on longitudinal direction. (c) applying one coat of aluminium paint @ 0.10 Litre per Sqm Over APP based Polymeric membrane. (d) Sealing of all angles & abutments upstands with extra care to ensure perfect bondage. Sealing of edges well into grooves & protect the seal with a polysulphide/polyurethane sealant. Note:- water proofing treatment work must be carried out by an authorized applicator or as per direction of GE.

Sunken Floor treatment :- Providing and laying of water proofing treatment to sunken portion including vertical portion by applying cement slurry mixed with acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound of make as specified and approved including demolition and filling of sunken floor with & including PCC 1:5:10 type E-2 (using 40mm brick aggregate). (a) First layer of slurry of cement @0.488 Kg/Sqm mixed with acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound @ 0.253 Kg/Sqm. This layer allowed to air cure for 4 Hours. (b) Second layer of slurry of cement @0.242 kg/Sqm mixed with acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound @ 0.125 Kg/Sqm. This layer allowed to air cure for 4 Hours. (c) 15mm thick plaster in CM 1:3 mixed with WP compound to be provided while concrete is still green. (d) Joint of/Trap/WC/Soil pipes shall be properly sealed with sealing compound. Note:(a) Concrete for sunken slabs shall be mixed with WP compounds as per manufacturer's instructions. Before carrying out water proofing treatment the sunken slab shall be tested with water for 48 hours for any leakage /dampness is seen in ceiling below, then treatment is again carried out to RCC slab and it is again tested before passing for next stage. (The rate quoted includes water proofing compound as per manufacturers instructions). (b) Please note that only floor area shall be measured for payment purpose.

Complete removal of existing treatment and applying Water proofing treatment of External walls by applying two coats of elastomeric coating material after cleaning the surface thoroughly and sealing all cracks with acrylic sealing compound as per the manufacturer’s specifications and aaplying two coats of anti fungal exterior paint as directions of Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE:The Treatment should be carried out through Authorised applicator only.
