M&L for roof treatment in order of precedence as given below complete all as specified and as directed:- (i) Taking out of existing water proofing treatment and including padding, cleaning the surface using wire brush, brooming down and washing down with water to remove dust etc, and brushing with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg of cement per Sqm. (ii) 15 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4 on surface. (iii) Cleaning of plastered surface and applying one coat of bituminous primer @ 0.40 Ltr / Sqm. (iv) Supply and laying 3 mm (Minimum) thick APP based polymeric membrane of approved manufacturer with weight not less than 3.60 Kg per Sqm, reinforced with non-woven polyester fabric weight not less than 150 gms per Sqm. Polymeric membrane shall be taken to a height of 30 cm (minimum) and then inserted inside the groove of parapet wall and shall be finished by a membrane flashing. (Cont.)
PROVISION OF PU WATER PROOFING TREATMENT IN LIEU OF EXISTING APP WATER PROOFING MEMBRANE AT BLDG NO P-66 (MMG STORE COMPLEX-IFA) BUILDING IN TECHNICAL AREA AT CVRDE AVADI
Material and Labour for water proofing treatment with water base polyurethane modified dispersion shall be carried out all as specified as under: - (a) Mechanical cleaning of surface to make it free from any bituminous residue / dirt. Oil and grease etc all as directed by GE / Engineer-in-Charge. (b) Cracks treatment by cutting open cracks and cleaning it from dirt loose materials etc and filling with polyurethane based sealant with and including application of PU based primer all as directed by GE / Engineer-in-Charge. (c) Applying water based polyurethane modified dispersion (single component cold applied, non toxic, VOC complaint) in 03 coats including 01 coat of primer of same material after dilution of water at 50% or specific primer matching same material as per manufacturer specification and as directed by GE / Engineer-in-Charge. Properties of polyurethane based chemical shall be as follows: (i) Highly elastic (ii) UV resistance (iii) Adhesion to concrete > 1N/Sqmm. (iv) Tensile strength - not less than 2.0N/Sq.mm for free film. (v) Elongation - not less than 300%. (vi) Solid content by weight - not less than 60%.
