Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm and depth exc 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep by any means refer SSR Preambles of SSR IC-20043 (Scarifying include over and grading the broken up surface to the proper camber etc. as required) to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and fixing Mild steel expanded metal 20x60 mm strands 3.25 mm wide 2.24 mm thick with frame of 40x40x6 mm angle iron and using flats 30x6 mm for diagonal braces and central cross piece with providing 40x5 mm flat iron hold fast 400 mm long including fixing to frame with 10 mm diameter bolts, nuts and wooden plugs and embedding in cement concrete block 300x100x150 mm 1:3:6 mix (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size), all necessary fittings complete, including applying a priming coat of approved steel primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint complete as per direction of Engineer in charge
