SPL REPAIR TO CERTAIN ROAD UNDER GE NORTH BINNAGURI

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep including removing stacking and deposing off, complete all as specified and directed.

Screening road metal, Chippings, etc. on the site of the work, when specially ordered, including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring (Materials from both sides of screen measured), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate of granite, trap or Basalt of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size), or of grading 3 (50 to 20 mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tone power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

All as serial item No. 3 as above but except material, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Stone aggregate obtained from respective item of this schedule.

M&L for preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (SS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.70 - 1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in table 500-3 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013 using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen Vg-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix of any penetration compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tone power roller, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : (i) No extra allowances shall be admissible to the contractor if the bitumen content is required more than 4% by the weight of total mix as per approved design. The contractor shall quote the rate accordingly.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS : 8887 at a rate of application of 0.20 - 0.30 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface by air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness (minimum) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen Gde-VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified in the relevant clauses of SSR Part-I (2009) and, complete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) Rate deemed to be included for making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi sense asphaltic concrete to be laid. (b) Semi dense asphaltic bituminous concrete shall be designed as specified and binder content shall be provided as per design mix, contractor shall quoted his rates considering the bitumen contents as 5.5%. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted at the rate of Rs 50.00 per kilogram of binder but variation in binder plus side shall not be paid extra contractor shall quote accordingly.

M&L for Continuous brick edging of sub class 'B' old size bricks with width equal to the width of the brick laid dry on end vertically including demolition of old unserviceable brick edging, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction and complete all as specified and directed.
