Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded material conforming to grading-V of table 400-1, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401 of Technical Specifcations.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to Wet Mix Macadam Specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density as per MoRTH Specifications Clause 406.

Bill No. 4 BITUMINOUS / PQC COURSES

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 kg/sqm using mechanical means all complete as per Clause 502.2

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.30 kg/sqm on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom all complete as per Clause 503.

Bill 12 - MAINTENANCE DURING CONSTRUCTION

Carrying out treatment and repairs to pot holes and any necessary patching to existing bituminous carriageway surfacing as per Technical Specifications Clause 3004.

ESHSE Manager having 10 years in designing and monitoring the implementation of ESHS management plans for construction works and in Similar works experience for 5 years

ESHS Supervisor (one ESHS supervisor for each shift on ach Project Area), total work experience 5 years including 1-year similar work experience

Community Liaison Officer having total experience 5 years (Fluency in local Languages should be mandatory for this position)

Implementation of the Health and Safety Plan all completed as per ESHS Clauses (1, 9, 21 to 25, 27 to 35, 37, 38)

Installation silt fencing for control sediment into nearby surface water bodies, including regular maintenance for entire construction period and removal of those fence on completion of work near surface water bodies

Provide and maintenance of Personal protective equipment including nosal mask for prohibition of spread of Covid 10, as required, to all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) pursuant to the practices

Medical Check -up – The Contractor shall organises medical check-ups carried out by a doctor or an appropriately qualified nurse for all Contractor’s Personnel prior to the initial mobilisation to the Project Area to check aptitude for the work. Hearing tests are conducted for the contractor’s personnel exposed too noise levels above 80 dB (A) in order to establish initial audiograms. Annual test shall be carried out as per advice of the Engineer: Covid -19 test to the Contractor’s personnel as and when required

Provide and maintain first aid provisions on any work site, including : suitably stocked first aid kits: a person, respectively an adequate number of staff appointed and trained to take charge of first – aid arrangements and ensure that staff and workers are informed about first aid arrangements

Accommodation, drinking water, meals and transportation of staff all completed as per ESHS Clauses 36, 40, 41

Accommodation, drinking water, meals and transportation of staff, Contractor shall provide to his personnel safe drinking water at all project areas. The quantity and quality of this water complies with the standards of the World health Organisations at supply points.

Provided and maintain accommodation for non-resident Personnel in a camp or an alternative structure outside of the Project Areas, such as hotel or rented house

Contractor provides meals at a reasonable cost or free of charge to its Contractors Personnel per shift in a canteen area and according to a procurement system

Training and local recruitment management costs all completed as per ESHS Clauses 8, 39

Protection of adjacent areas, prevention of erosion and waste water management – The Contractor shall take necessary measures to ensure that pollution to air , water or land is prevented or, where this is not possible, reduced and mitigated as far as practicable during the construction phase. If required in the PA- ESMP the contractor will develop a pollution prevention Plan for managing e.g. atmospheric emissions and dust, e.g noise and vibrations,

Installation of Oil interceptor for removal of oil and grease at vehicle wash bay

Sprinkling of water for suppression of dust all along the construction areas for the entire Construction period

Contractor should carry out or contracting the monitoring the effluent quality pursuant to the present ESHS Specifications by external accredited agency for sampling and Laboratory analysis and submit the analysis results the engineer

Site rehabilitation – the contractor will rehabilitate all Project Areas and landscapes disturbed by the works, to their original condition where possible upon completion of construction and prior to the provisional acceptance of the works. Close collaboration with all statutory stakeholders will be conducted in cooperation with the Employer during the reinstatement. This will include all temporarily acquired sites including borrow areas, camp site, etc.
