Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/Sqmm2).25 mm average thickness in 2 layers.

Epoxy primer should be dry and surface moisture should be less than 4% before PU application. The first layer is applied 2-3 hours after primer and while PU epoxy primer is still dried. The second layer should be applied crosswise after 8-24 hours, depending on the weather conditions. ( Epoxy primer - 200 gm per sqm and PU per coat should be 650 gm/sqm). The rate shall include all labour, material and coveyance charges etc complete.

To improve elongation at failure and crack-bridging on horizontal surfaces, The first layer must be at least 1 mm thick. While it is still fresh, carefully lay on the surface, and press it in using a flat-bladed trowel to make sure that it is perfectly buttered. first coat as a primer coat @1mm thickness / 1.345kg per Sq.mtr

It should be mixed both in paddle type and slow speed grouting mixture or drum type concrete mixer. In both the cases the Microcrete is to be added to water and mix till a pourable consistency is obtained with recommended water –powder ratio as per technical data.

od339264/2020_2021 : Preparation of surface for waterproofing. All surfaces to be plastered should be made sound, clean and dry. Concrete surfaces should have a light steel-trowel followed by a fine hair-broom or equivalent finish, which is dry and free of dust, oil and other contaminants. Sharp projection, moss and lichen must be removed physically followed by treatment with fungicidal wash to kill any spores and inhibit further growth.
