Laying of OFC/Power cable/CAT-6 cable/PA Cable/Data cable and all the other types of telecom cable through HDPE pipe/casing capping/fall ceiling with laying/fixing of HDPE pipe/casing 2 capping/PVC pipe for connecting/ interfacing various components and system integration. All materials for jointing and termination of power cable/CAT-6cable as per site requirement areto be supplied by contractor. This item also includes supply of RJ-45 connector with cap for terminating CAT-6 cable and supply and installation of power board with 4 points (3 nos. 5Amp sockets and 1 no. 15Amps socket) as per site requirement.

Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr. to 0.6 Mtrs wide advised by Engineer-in-charge along side the track in normal (all type) soil/strata, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling. This work includes clearing of route 3 from bushes etc, covering of cable laid in trench by loose soil. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Western Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. In case 1m depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions, specific approval of JA grade officer will be required for each site where trench depth of 1mis not possible. Without the approval of JA Grade officer, no payment for trenching will be made for trench depth less than 1m.

Horizontal direction drilling [HDD]/Trenchless digging/machine drilling without damage to surface road /track for laying/insertion of HDPE/GI/DWC pipe. The bore shall be done at the depth of minimum 1400 mm from the ground level. The ground level shall be considered ignoring the bank 4 height of the bank of the road. Note:- DWC/HDPE/GI Pipe Supply is not covered under this item. Contactor has to provide all material required for work and adequate nos. of labours for proper laying of cables into the bore. Cable shall be laid cautiously so that it should not get damage due to rough handling & pressure on cable. Payment of boring shall be made only after DWC/HDPE/GI pipe islaid in the bore.

Transportation and Laying of HDPE duct as per the approved cable route plan in the excavated trenches/other protected works/RCC channel etc. including all accessories like end caps, 5 collars, bends, couplers etc. The ends of the duct to be sealed with end plugs till OFC blowing is done. Important: The laying of OFC cable independently or along with Quad cable/PIJF cable in the same trench shall be governed by the RDSO drawings no. RDSO/TCDO/COP-6(a) and RDSO/TCDO/COP-8(a) respectively ,issued vide Chapter-XIII of the Telecomm Manual.

Laying of S&T Cables of various cores/ pairs/ quads in trenches/ GI pipes/ RCC pipes/ DWC pipes/Trunking. This also includes laying of cables in track crossings & road crossings. Item 6 includes provision of labels of coloured plastic adhesive tapes or any other identifiable material on each cable to give the cable number at each G.P. (Cables will be maggered before and after its laying by contractor under supervision of Railway Representative and he will submit the maggering report of each testing). Length of the cable laid includes the length of the cable coiled for termination purposes.

Fixing of all types of Cable Termination box and termination of cable. This include armour earthing also.

Splicing of fibers OFC Cable and making Splice joint with contractor's own splicing machine and tools and consumables.

Blowing of OFC through HDPE duct & protective work already provided. Where it is not 9 feasible to blow OFC due to curves, road/track crossings, bridges or for any other reason , OFC shall be drawn / laid manually as per standard procedure. All the equipments and machinery required shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. NOTE: The unit may be read as "RM'.

Placing of DWC/RCC/GI pipes along with collars in trenches at places of track and road crossings, platform cuttings etc.

Supply and Fixing on wall with the help of farse nut of 12U Networking Rack 19 inch with Front Glass Door, 06 Socket Power DB, 02 Fan-Fan Tray, Cable Manager, Hardware Packet, Earthing etc. Make: APW-President or similar of reputed make.

Installation, testing & commissioning of Maintenance Free earth electrode as per RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/197 Ver.1or latest so that the earth reading should not be more than 1 Ohm. Construction of earth pit should be as per Drawing No. DSO/RDSO/E&B/001. Earth enhance material shall be carbon based with min 95% of fixed carbon content premixed with corrosion resistant cement to have set properties. Cement shall not mix separately & shall not have Bentonite. shall have high conductivity, improves earth's absorbing power and humidity retention capability. shall be non-corrosive in nature having low water solubility but highly hygroscopic, shall have resistivity of less than 0.2 ohms -meter. shall not depend on the continuous presence of water to maintain its conductivity shall be permanent.

Concealed wiring of Telecom cable in PVC conduit - The price shall cover for concealed wiring of Telecom cable 5 Pair, 10 Pair, 20 Pair, PA Cable/Data Cable PVC insulated, unsheathed, PIJF 13 Cable in concealed manner as per site requirement in PVC conduit (All jointing accessories like junction boxes, 25mm PVC L-bend, T-bend, etc. are to be provide by the contractor). Concrete/Platform surface and its refilling/plastering to its original position after laying of Telecom Cable.
