Material Cost of - Insitu chemical cleaning of water side of HEs / ATUs/Coolers, renewal of trunking connect to both sides of HEs onboard IN Ships are as follows:- (a) De-lagging and re-lagging of ATUs/HEs/Coolers inlet / outlet pipeline of the chilled water system and dismantle the pipelines. (Removal will be done in the presence of Ship’s Staff after obtaining their necessary approval. Location of the defective HE’s will be indicated by ship staff). (b) Rig up pump motor / tank for circulation of fresh water. The procedure of chemical cleaning would be as follows:- (i) Circulate fresh water for the period of 30 minute.(ii) Circulate chemical INDROX 11 (Equivalent i.e. PROTOSOLVE 29 or ORION 31 ) for the period of 2 hours. (iii) Circulate the fresh water twice for the period of 10 minutes. (iv) Circulate caustic soda for the period of 30 minutes (v) Circulate fresh water thrice for the period of 10 min each. (c) Flush the system with water so as to remove all dirt. The firm is to certify that the system is free of chemicals. The unit reserves the right to test the flushed water for presence of residual chemicals. (d) De-lagging and re-lagging of HEs/ ATUs/ Coolers and requisite trunkings / piping to carryout water jet spray cleaing of air side (shell side). (e) Water jet spray cleaning of fins and outer surface of tubes by water jet (f) Pressure test the ATUs/HEs/Coolers for no leakage. (g) Process of Repair :Post cleaning/ pressure testing of air and water side, any damage observed on tubes are to be blanked or where ever possible renew/replace tubes and undertake brazing repair on tube stack/flanges/pipes of ATUs/HEs/Coolers as decided by contract executing agency i.e SMSYS. U tube bend repair header, straightening of fins, repair/manufacturing of flanges and renewal of zinc protector where ever applicable post clearance from user dept/QC dept. (h) Re-fitting of HEs/ATUs/Coolers with renewal of trunkings connect to both sides of HEs, renewal/repair of piping and prove the system for no leakages. Repair/ Renew/ Refit drain pipes (02 mtrs) for each HEs/ATUs as required and prove the system for no leakages. (j) Painting of the Shell side and HEs/ATUs/Coolers by heat resistant paint (aluminum paint).

Degutting/Regutting, De-lagging and re-lagging of ATU/HEs/Coolers, inlet / outlet pipeline and requisite trunkings/ piping of ATU/HE/Coolers. Removal and Shifting to firm’s workshop. (Removal will be done in the presence of Ship’s Staff after obtaining their necessary approval. Location of the defective HE’s/ATUs/Coolers will be indicated by Systems reps/Ship’s Staff). Degutting/ regutting of all Naval Vessels ATUs/HEs/coolers & requisite gaskets for fitment of ATUs/HEs/Coolers which may include de-lagging/re-lagging, hot work for removal of ATU/HE/Coolers tallying and transportation to work centre (C.No.38)of MSYS, ND (MBi) and reinstallation of ATU/HE/coolers back in the system and proving of the system. Cost to include requisite gaskets. Defective fasteners to be replaced as per Naval Engg Standards for fitment of ATUs/HEs/Coolers
