Clearing jungle incl. Uprooting of rank vegetation grass bush woods trees and saplings of girth upto 30 cms measured at a height of 1 m above ground level & removal of rubbish upto a distance of 50 mts outside the periphery of the area cleared (If however, only grass is met with the area will be measured and paid for under item 4001)

Earthwork in excavation for de-silting of rivers, nallahs, ponds,canal,etc by mechanical/Manual means in all types of strata comprising any of the material such as soil, sand, clay, gravel, moorum of all varieties, shingles, pebbles, all types of conglomerates, laterite rock, soft rock, ordinary rock, disintegrated rock, fissured/shattered, decomposed rock and all such other materials either in full or in parts as the case may be adopting any approved method or methods as may be convenient or permitted, inclusive of chiseling, wedging etc. but blasting prohibited in all conditions such as dry, moist saturated, submerged, foul condition etc. including setting out construction of shoring and strutting, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides of bottom, providing barricading, danger lighting, guarding etc. backfilling the excavated earth to the extent required and disposal of excavated stuff in specified areas with 50m lead and lifts etc. and as directed by engineer-in- charge etc. all complete.

Earthwork in surface excavation not exceeding 30 cms depth (but exceeding 1.5m width as well as 10sqmt on plan) incl disposal of excavted earth beyond work site for all leads lifts disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed in b) Hard Soil

Earthwork in excavation by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sq.m on plan) including disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m disposed earth to be leveled and neatly dressed including providing barricading, danger lighting guarding as directed in : a)All kinds of soil

Earthwork in embankment with soil cement mix 300 mm thick with 10% cement and 90% approved material ( contractor’s earth ) including all lifts, leads, laying in layers not exceeding 100 mm thickness, controlled method of compaction as approved by Engineer-in-charge to the required dry density at requisite moisture etc. complete.

Providing construction joints in canal lining with in situ sleepers in case of bed pre cast in case of sides both of size 150 X 75 mm section in cement concrete 1 : 1½ : 3 ( 1 cement : 1½ coarse sand : 3 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size ) incl. Centering and shuttering, curing etc. complete and using bitumen and sealing compound of approved quality in joints as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.

Providing and laying in position 50 mm thick cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand: 6 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing etc. for preparing sub grade for laying RCC Canal lining .

Centering & shuttering incl strutting, propping & removal of formwork for a) Foundations, footings, bases for columns and mass concrete.

Providing High yield strength steel reinforcement bar (HYSD)/TMT steel reinforcement bar from secondary producers(Confirming to IS 1786 of 1986) for RCC work including bending, binding & placing in position in all the floors along with the factory made precast concrete cover blocks of specified sizes whose compressive strength is not less than that of surrounding concrete in the structural member.

Providing and laying in position 100 mm thick (1 : 1.5:3) reinforced cement concrete lining (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand:3 graded granitic or basaltic stone aggregate of 20mm nominal size) excl cost of centering , shuttering and reinforcement, but incl waterproofing compound of approved quality with ramming and consolidating curing and finishing the surface with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement ;3 fine sand) 6 mm thick as specified and directed by Engineer in charge etc complete with all leads and lifts
