BILL OF QUANTITES

INSTRUCTION TO TENDERERS

1.0 The Bill of quantities shall be read in conjunction with the Instructions to Bidders, Conditions of

Contract, Scope of Work, and Specifications.

2.0 The quantities given in the Bill of quantities are estimated quantities. The basis of payment will

be actual quantities of work indented and carried out and valued at the rates and prices

tendered in the priced Bills of quantities, where applicable and otherwise at such rates and

prices as the Engineer may fix within the terms of Contract.

3.0 The rates and prices tendered in the priced Bill of Quantities (without GST) shall include all

equipment, plant, tools, spares, labour, supervision, overheads, consumables, materials,

erection, maintenance, testing of input material delivered, profit, taxes and duties together with

all general risks, liabilities and obligations set out and implied in the Contract and other

incidentals to comply with the requirements of technical specifications and scope of work.

4.0 The rates and prices shall be quoted entirely in Indian Currency.

5.0 The whole cost of complying with the provisions of the contract shall be included in the items

provided in the priced Bill of Quantities and where no rates are provided the cost shall be

deemed to be distributed among the rates and prices entered for the related items of work.

The contractor shall keep the entire footpath (if any cycle track) neat and clean throughout the

contract period. The contractor shall maintain guard rails, railings, crash barriers, road furniture

etc. in good condition by cleaning them frequently as advised / required by using suitable

detergents/chemicals.

 The staff of the contractor shall wear safety jackets, shoes, helmets etc. while on duty

and any violation will attract a fine of Rs. 5,000/- for each incident.

 Failure to erect safety signage or trying to carry out the works without proper

precautions/safety measures as required will attract a fine of Rs.5,000/- for each

7.0 The Tendered rate for incident Management shall include all equipment, labour, material,

consumable, tools, spares, and other incidentals to comply with the requirement of the scope of

the work and technical specifications.

8.0 General directions and descriptions of work and materials are not necessarily repeated or

summarized in the Bill of Quantities. Reference to the relevant sections of the bidding document

shall be made before entering rates or prices against each item in the Bill of Quantities.

9.0 The rates shall be quoted Online Only.

etc. all confirming to latest relevant IS codes for the

work of steel structures railings, signage pole, jali, gates,

Bus shelter, screen wall, smart pole, commercial pole,

gantry structure, grills, bracings, bollards,foundation

plate and bolt, platforms, brackets, cattle trap, framing

for advertise box on lighting pole, electrical elements

etc. including straightening, cutting, bending, bolting

and welding the members all as per structural drawings

and as per detailed specifications (for materials &

workmanship) including necessary scaffolding/ staging,

24 Removing and refixing existing railing (upto 0.60 mt

height) as a barricadding or diversion lane as per

requirement of project execution stage and as directed

by engineer in charge. Rate shall be inclusive of required

foundation and steel member for fixing of railing. After

completion of work,contractor shall dispose all material

related to railing/ barricading i.e. disposal of 82.96 Rmt 100

unserviceable material with all lifts and up to any lead at

non objectional place and stacking the serviceable

material (structural elements) upto AMC store including

loading, unloading as directed by Engineer-in-charge

mm-H Kerb block for Footpath in M-20 grade using

mm nominal size black trap aggregate of Sevaliya/Timba

or equivalent quality for pre-cast blocks, reasonably

exposed finish/ formwork , mould with well equipped

with vibratory system for kerb stones of approved

design including curing, etc. complete, including the cost

of formwork etc. complete. The rate shall also include

necessary cutting of asphalt, fixing the Kerb stones in

line and level on 5 cm thick sand bedding with necessary

equipments and materials. The rate shall also include 350.89 Rmt 100

the flush pointing in CM (1:3) for all joints of the

kerbstones. Filling of zari alone the sides of the kerb

stone fixed with Bituminous concrete mixed in proper

position as directed by Engineer in change to form a

portable mixture. In any case Gravel or such type of

materials shall not be allowed for production.a) Laying

of concrete precast exposed / Fair finish / texture finish

kerb stones of approved make as per approved sample

of any size and any type. Kerbs shall be fixed on the

foundation prepared as per approved design. The rate

shall also include for erecting and fixing the pieces in

position for complete kerb system with chamfered type

of kerbs including necessary accessories of kerb like

radius kerb, angles and quadrant kerbs, droplet kerbs

etc. complete as per drawing. Kerb shall be fixed as

paper joint without any jointing material. However

cement mortar shall be provided at the backside of kerb

stone joint. (Sample must be approved) Cost of

as per BOQ (a) 450 hight x 600x 150 mm high median

30 Pre cast concrete kerb Providing and fixing M25 Grade

31 Supplying and fixing for central verge 230 mm L x

mm Width x 680 mm H Supplying & Fixing in M-20

grade using 20 mm nominal size black trap aggregate of

sevaliya/timba or equivalent quality for pre-cast

blocks,reasonably exposed finish/formwork,mould with

well equipped with vibratory system for kerb stones of

approved design including curing,etc.complete,including

the cost of formwork etc.complete.THe rate shall also

include necessary cutting of asphalt,fixing the kerb

stones in line and level on 5 cm thick sand bedding with

necessary equipments and materials.The rate shall also 1376.75 Rmt 50

include the flush pointing in CM(1:3)for all joints of the

kerbstones.Filling of Zari alone the sides of the kerb

stone fixed with bituminous concrete mixed in proper

position as directed by engineer in charge to form a

portable mixture.In any case gravel or such type of

materials shall not be allowed for production.

32 Providing and Laying of Rubber Moulded Paver Block

Grey/Coloured 60 mm thick, M-35 Grade of any size ;

shape (Usually Uni-Paver Blocks) using black trap good

quality aggragate of 20 mm nominal size for footpath,

parking areas, service lanes and other areas as

mentioned in the drawing / instruction of engineer in

charge. Cost includes formworks using rubber mould,

Rate providing and laying paver blocks as per required

grading and specification. The paver block shall be

mechanically compacted. The work of paving blocks

shall be executed in line and level by skill mason of

flooring work only. It should be laid in such a way that 501.6 Smt 200

the no cutting of the paver block to be necessary. if

cutting of paver block necessary then it should be cut by

machine only and carting. The finished surface of the

paver block shall have resonably good, plain finished.

Paver blocks shall be compacted and shall be relaid if

necessary. Gravel or such type of materials shall not be

allowed for production. Laying on 5cms thick sand

33 Providing and laying of interlocking grey paver blocks of

high density 80mm thick made from M-40 grade

concrete using 6 mm to 20 mm machine crushed well

graded stone aggregate, sand of approved quality, OPC

53 grade cement with contractor's own concrete mix

design as approved by AMC, for parking, road. Cost

Includes formwork, using rubber/FRP mould, laying

paver block as per required grading and specification

laid paver block shall be mechanically compacted. The

work of the paving blocks shall be executed in line and

level by skilled mason of flooring work only. It should be 572 Smt 100

laid in such a way that the no cutting of the paver block

to be necessary. Cutting of paver block by machine cut

only and carting to be done. The Finished surface of the

Paver Block shall have reasonably good plain finish.

Paver blocks shall be compacted and shall be re-laid if

necessary. Gravel or such type of materials shall not be

allowed for production. Laying on 5 Cms thick sand

34 Paver Block Providing and laying shot blasted Non -

interlocking, Paver blocks of specified thickness, size,

grade of concrete and colour machine made and

blasting by automatic shot blasting machine and high

density of as per approved sample of approved make for

footpath, parking areas, service lanes,cross over and

other areas as mentioned in the drawing. Including

providing and laying 50 mm thick averave bedding layer

of coarse sand below paver block as per required

grading and specification. Laid paver block shall be

mechanically compacted. The work of the paving blocks

shall be executed in line and level by skilled mason of 669.65 Smt 300

flooring work only. Small size of paver block with same

specification shall be used at residue or at end. It should

be laid in such a way that the no cutting of the paver

block to be necessary. If cutting of paver block shall be

required , than cut by machine only and laying to be

done by skilled flooring mason. The finished surface of

the paver block shall have coarse sand Texture Finish.

Pave blocks shall be compacted and shall be re-laid if

necessary. Actual laid area shall be measured and paid

without any wastage. (A) 60 mm thick M-35 grade Grey

Paver block of size 200mm x 200mm.

35 Paver Block Providing and laying shot blasted Non -

interlocking, Paver blocks of specified thickness, size,

grade of concrete and colour machine made and

blasting by automatic shot blasting machine and high

density of as per approved sample of approved make for

footpath, parking areas, service lanes,cross over and

other areas as mentioned in the drawing. Including

providing and laying 50 mm thick averave bedding layer

of coarse sand below paver block as per required

grading and specification. Laid paver block shall be

mechanically compacted. The work of the paving blocks

shall be executed in line and level by skilled mason of

flooring work only. Small size of paver block with same 758.93 Smt 100

specification shall be used at residue or at end. It should

be laid in such a way that the no cutting of the paver

block to be necessary. If cutting of paver block shall be

required , than cut by machine only and laying to be

done by skilled flooring mason. The finished surface of

the paver block shall have coarse sand Texture Finish.

Pave blocks shall be compacted and shall be re-laid if

necessary. Actual laid area shall be measured and paid

without any wastage. (A) 80 mm thick M-35 grade Grey

Paver block of size 200mm x 200mm. As per approved

36 Labour work of fixing kurb any design of central verge,

(both side) footpath kurb, items includes necessary

excavation, asphalt cutting of any thickness, erecting in

line and position and pointing with cement mortar (1:3), 136.4 Rmt 50

watering, etc complete, filling with zari along the side of

the kurb, the kurb stone fix prepared with bitumnious

top surface, as directed by engineer in charge.

37 Labour work for fixing interlocking blocks / any kind of

pavement on up to 50 mm thick sand bedding,

levelling,watering and fixing in line & level as well 68.64 Smt 25

cleaning the site etc.comp. as directed.

38 Bitumen Cutting

Labour charge of cutting in bituminous pavement.

Cutting to be done with heavy duty tandom cutting

machine consist of diamond blade. Minimum cutting

depth shall be 75 mm from the finished level. Cutting

shall be perfeclty in line. The width and depth of the

removal of asphalt towards kerb stone shall be as per

the drawing. Bitumen shall be carefully removed so that

the the cutting edge towards the road should not be 113.39 Rmt 600

disturbed. The work of removal of the asphalt will be

considered in this item as running meter of the cutting

done by machine. One cutting line will be considered

per length of the kerb stone. Bitumen and other debris

shall be disposed within 10.0 km. as per the instruction

of the engineer in charge. Surroundings shall be cleaned

to the satisfaction of the engineer in charge.

39 Removing and refixing of kerb

Removal of existing kerb stones of any type, any size,

any thickness in safe manner with base PCC including

excavation etc and refix the same as desired location as

per drawing and as directed by Engineer in charge. Rate

shall be inclusive of removing with all subbase (including

excavtion), refixed the same (approved before reuse) on

existing base PCC, addition kerb of same profile (if 72.32 Rmt 25

required and shall be paid relevant tender item),

disposal unserviceable material with all lifts and up to

any lead at non objectional place and stacking the

serviceable material (paver) upto AMC store including

loading, unloading as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

40 Filling Zari

Filling of Zari along the sides of the kerbstone fixed,

prepared with Bituminous Concrete mixed in proper

proportion as directed by Engineer- In -Charge to form a 50 Rmt 600

pourable mixture.

41 Pre cast Cylindrical Bollard

Providing and fixing cylinder pre cast bollard with

exposed/ fair finished made in M-30. Bollard is precast

with cement concrete of M-30 grade by providing 4 no

of 12 mm dia. tor steel by vibro compaction method

using FRP/steel mould for achiveshutttring finish as

directed and approved by EIC. Sample shall be

approved. Approximate size of bollard is 900 to 1000mm

height x 225 to 300mm dia. Rate shall be inclusive of

concrete, reinforcements as stated in the item

description, necessary moulds, pouring, placing,

compaction, necessary curing, all accessories required

for fixing, with all taxes, transportation, loading and

unloading charges. Additional reinforcement, if any shall

be measured and paid for in the relevant tender item.

The rate shall also include for erecting and fixing the

pieces in position etc complete as per drawing. The rate

shall also include the cost of excavation, base PCC M15

grade and finish good, curing etc complete as directed

by engineer in charge.

42 Providing and applying Synthetic Enamel Paint on

existing MS structural steel work with minimum two

coat of paint of approved make and shade including

cleaning all dust, durt and other foriegn matters, sand 66.07 Sqm 200

papering, scafolding etc with all material labour

equipments for all height as directed by engineer in

43 Painting Two Coats on divider and footpath curb surface

45 Cat Eye/ Road Stud/ RPM: Supplying of Molded Twin

Shanks Raised Pavement Markers made of

polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective

panels with micro prismatic lens (No glass bed lens)

capable of providing total internal reflection of the light
