Supplying, installation, testing and commissioning of diesel engine driven main fire pump suitable for automatic operation and consisting of following, complete in all respects, as required and also conforming to specifications attached. 2850 lpm at 70 m Head

(Diesel Driven Pump) Horizontal type, multistage, centrifugal split casing pump of cast of iron body and bronze impeller with stainless steel shaft, mechanical seal conforming to IS 1520 , IS 9137. ( Kirloskar KFE-H1007R-M43 or similar BSNL approved make)

Suitable 60HP, 1500 RPM water cooled with radiator, diesel engine conforming to relevant IS standard complete with auto starting mechanism, 12 /24 volts electric starting equipment, diesel tank, exhaust pipe extended upto 10 m outside pump house duly insulated with 50 mm thick glass wool with 1.0 mm thick aluminium sheet cladding, residential silencer, instruments and protection as per standard specification, stop solenoid for auto stop in the event of fault with audio indications, painted with post office red colour etc. as required.

MS fabricated Common base plate, coupling guard, foundation bolts etc as required.

Fuel tank suitable for min 12 hrs running & its foundation/supporting base at a height as requiried. With one barrel of 200 ltr diesel & 1 hand pump with 5 mtr flexible hose to pump the fuel from barrel to fuel tank i/c fuel piping (supply and return) with suitable wheel valve on supply line.

The silencer and exhaust line inside the room shall be suitably insulated with 50mm thick resin bonded glass wool insulated covered with 1mm thick aluminium cladding i/c giving necessary support from bottom/ top etc., as required. The exhuast pipe shall be extended upto 1mtr outside the pump room with necessary rainwater cap etc., as required.

Providing suitable cement concrete foundation of 1:2:4 with anti vibration arrangements . Sufficient space shall be left around the base frame. All the side edges of the foundation shall be protected with 30x30x3mm size angle iron.

II-COMMON PANEL IN FIRE PUMP HOUSE

Fabrication, supplying, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of electrical control panel of cubicle construction, floor mounted type, fabricated out of 2 mm thick CRCA sheet, compartmentalized with hinged lockable doors, dust and vermin proof, powder coated of approved shade after 7 tank treatment process, cable alley, inter connection, having switchgears and accessories mounting and internal wiring, numbering etc complete in all respect, suitable for operation on 415 V, phase, Hz, AC supply with enclosure protection class IP 42 as required and as per detailed specifications attached.

(i) INCOMER

a) 250 A TPN SDF with out HRC fuses, with link -1 no

b) 1 set of 4 strips, 415V Copper bus bar of 500 Amps capacity of suitable length.

c) Set of LED indication lamps with toggle switch & control fuses - 3Nos.

ii) OUT GOINGS

(a) Main fire pump and Sprinkler Pump

i) Electric Fire Pump Section

This section shall incorporate the following facilities:-

a) 125 A TPN SDFwith out HRC fuses, with link - 2 nos

b) Control system components and equipments such as relays, contactors, and timers etc. for automatic operation to meet with functional requirements.

c) 55 KW soft starter - 2 nos

e) Pump lock out devices due to faults or abnormalities as specified.

f) Visual/audio alarms, indications and communication facility as specified.

g) Necessary interconnection with control and power cable work, suitable size copper conductor armoured cable glands, lugs and internal wiring and connections etc.

iii) Diesel Engine Fire pump Section:-

This section shall incorporate the following facilities:-

b) Visual alarm indicators for LLOP, High water temperature & Over speed etc.

d) Engine shut down and lock out devices due to faults or abnormalities as specified.

e) Inter connection control and power cable work, cable glands, lugs, all internal wiring and connections etc.

iv)Jockey Pump & Terrace pump Section:-

Each of the auxiliary pump section for pressurization pump shall incorporate the following:-

a) 32A TPN SDF with out HRC fuses, with link - 2 nos

b) 5.5kW star delta starter - 1 nos

b1) 7.5kW star delts starter - 1 nos

d) Set of control system components to make the system automatic as per functional requirements

e) Visual indication/audio alarm hooter of suitable range

f) 32 A TPN SDF without HRC fuses with link - 2nos & 1 wit HRC fuse (For Pump room lilghting, Battery charger & spare)

System Controller

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of system controller to control operation of main electric fire pumps, diesel pump, pressurization pump and terrace pump in sequence as per specifications consisting of relays, timers, sensors, annunciation windows for fault indication system complete as required.

Earthing

Two earth studs on both sides connected with 25x5mm Cu strip shall run at the rear of the board binding all sections, two suitable earth studs shall have a provision of terminating earth strip or wire from main earth stations. All the hinged doors shall be earthed with suitable size PVC sheathed copper conductor wire etc as reqd.

Pressure switches 5 Nos. (for fire pumps and pressurization pump)

Water level indicator & switch to prevent dry running of fire pump i/c audio & visual alarm.

Pumps when under manual status shall be operated through relevant push buttons as reqd.

Lock out indication for Electric fire pump as well as audio alarm with silencing facility as required.

Lock out indication for diesel fire pump as well as audio alarm with silencing facility as required.

Manual resetting push button for return to normal operation of locked out unit as required.

Terminal facility for repeat indications of various audio & visual indications.

Note:- Audio alarm shall be extendable from terminal facility to a suitable location through suitable cabling which is attended round the clock.

All the power connections between panel and pumps, Battery charger, Battery sets and other controls shall be connected with suitable size of copper conductor armoured PVC sheathed cable including laying on floor / wall/ in cable trays( trays inclusive) etc as reqd

Liaison and Co-ordination with Kerala State Fire Authority for getting priliminary and final Fire approval which includes (a) Preperation of all drawings (b) Submission and approval of Installation drawings before start of work (c) Getting Approval of installation locations. (d)Submission of required test reprots to Fire authorities.(e) Co ordination with Fire authorities for commissioning of the installation. (Necessary fees paid by the agency to the statutory bodies shall be reimbursed by BSNL/KMSCL on production of original fee receipts)

III : PIPING- WET RISER

Supplying and laying of ‘C’ class GI pipes i/c fittings like bends, 'T' sections , elbows, gaskets etc but excluding valves, gauges of following sizes in the following manner as reqd. Makes (ATC / ATL / BST / GSI / ITC / ITS / IIA / JST / JINDAL (Jindal India Ltd) / TTA / Tata / Zenith)

On wall/floor / free standing with suitable brackets/ in existing trench with suitable platform or brick blocks including angle iron edges in supports etc. and fixing the ‘C’ class pipe with suitable iron strip, clamps, brackets etc as reqd.

iii) 100mm

In concrete floor including cutting the concrete/tar road, making good the damages, providing anti corrosive wrapping with coaltar/asphalt tape on the ‘C’ class GI pipe as per specifications as reqd.

In soil including excavation and refilling & making good the damage, providing anti corrosive wrapping with coaltar/asphalt tape and coating etc on the ‘C’ class GI pipe as required.

Supplying and fixing of Air vessel of 250 mm dia & 1.2 m height made of sheet steel of 8mm thick along with air release valve, pressure gauge , shut off valve, drain arrangement with required accessories. The legs shall be provided with M.S. Plate of size 75 mm x 75 mm x 5 mm at the bottom so that the legs do not puncture the roof.i/c painting wtih synthetic enamel paint of approved shade etc and as per specifications as reqd.

Supplying and fixing double headed internal hydrant valve with instantaneous Gun metal couplings of 63 mm dia with cast iron wheel ISI marked conforming to IS 5290 (Type -A) with blank Gunmetal cap and chain with necessary orifice plate, GI tee tapping from the wet riser, distant piece & any other accessories as required.

Supplying and fixing Single headed external yard hydrant valve with 1 No. 63 mm dia instantaneous Gun metal coupling and cast iron wheel, ISI marked, conforming to IS 5290(type A) with blank Gunmetal cap and chain with necessary Stand post for single outlet 80mm GI’C’ class pipe, orifice plate, GI tee tapping from the ring main, distant piece & any other accessories as required.
