Notes for all items of BOQ:- 1. Contractor should take necessary precautions such as laying plastic sheets on floors/covering windows etc to ensure that paint drops and splashes are not dropped on floors/furniture/joinery etc, in case paint splashes/drops are found contractor should clean all the paint marks otherwise a recovery of Rs.10/Sqm shall be made for the qrtrs/bldgs affected. 2. The Contractor should procure minimum 50% of the materials for all items as per BOQ (other than paints) mentioned in this CA within 20 days after getting sample approval and kept in safe custody so that no delay in work due to non-availability of materials will be faced. Contractor should ensure during the cause of work that he has minimum 25% of materials with him till the completion of work. If contractor fail to complete the work within contract due to lack of fittings, a penalty of 20% shall be applicable on quoted rates by the contractor. 3. Contractor should complete all works related to welcome maintainence within 05 days from the date of handing over keys. 4. The contractor should visit the site before quoting the tender to know the working condition of the station. 5. All requisite safety measures are to be adopted by contractor on site. 6. The contractor shall provide and deploy sufficient electrician ( as approved by GE/ Engineer in charge) shall report at 9.00 hrs to JE E/M / Engineer in charge to collect the complaints job card in working days and complete the same complaint within 24 Hrs. 7. The complaints shall be rectified with in 24 hrs if the complaints is/ are not attended / not completed with in 24 hrs ( except repair/ replacement of major items) recovery will be done Rs. 500 per complaint per day. 8. For major parts like replacement of MCB, DBs, MCCBs etc should be rectified within 5 working days, if the contractor not rectify within time then recovery will be done at Rs. 1000 per complaint per day. 9. After completion of Job work complaint, the contractor has to produce job card duly signed by user& JE /Engineer in charge. 10. If contractor failed to provide their electrician or attend the complaints then recovery will be doneRs 1000 per day. 11. In repair works, rate quoted for demolition/dismantling/taking down is deemed to be inclusive of removing the same from site and dumped outside INA Ezhimala. 12. In maintenance works, the contractor should maintain separate registers for plumbing and carpenter repair works. Day to day complaints should be noted in those registers with Sl nos of complaints, location, qty of work, status of complaints and signature of in charge and stamp of the office. Format will be given from concern AGE office. The contractor should obtain the signature of in charge on the same day of work. These registers to be submitted to JE(Civil) on every weekend without fail. 13. The contracts involving working at elevated locations of buildings, contractor should ensure proper safety arrangements as per norms. Wearing safety belts and helmets are mandatory. A penalty of Rs 1000 per day will be recovered from contractor if safety norms are not followed. 14. The plumbing complaints resulting wastage of water should be rectified within 12 working hours and if contractor fail to fullfill this, a recovery of 10% of rate quoted for relevant item will be charged from contractor in this regard. 15. After completion of work, no stores/debris/loose items be kept at work site or dumped inside INA. Entire area to be cleared and waste material be taken outside INA.

M&L for coloured Non-skid ceramic tiles (square/rectangular) 7 to 8mm thick in floors, area of each tile exc.0.06 sqm but n.exc 0.11 sqm, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white cement mixed with matching pigment over and including 15mm thick screed bed in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for vitrified ceramic tiles light shade 10 mm thick (square/ rectangular) polished, area of each tiles nt exceeding 0.36 sqm, in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match and fixed over screed bed 20 mm CM 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Sl item No.17 above but in skirtings complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for machine cut granite stone slab 20mm thick of approved colour and shade as in floors, kitchen platform, steps and other similar situations over and including 15mm thick backing coat in CM 1:4 laid and jointed in grey cement slurry and pointed with white cement with admixture of pigment to match the shade of the slab including grinding and polishing complete all as specified and as directed.

Rounding to edges of stone slabs to one edge, such as in kitchen platform, steps and other similar situations complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No.95 above but in PVC casing and capping of suitable size complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note for item No.93 to 96 :- (i) One run of PVC conduit/casing and capping along with 5 runs of respective size of PVC insulated copper conductor cable will be measured as one unit. (ii) Strictly follow the proper colour code red/yellow/blue for phase, black for neutral and green for earth.

All as per item No.101 above but in PVC casing and capping of suitable size complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note for item No.97 to 102 :- (i) One run of PVC conduit/casing and capping along with 3 runs of respective size of PVC insulated copper conductor cable will be measured as one unit. (ii) Strictly follow the proper colour code red/yellow/blue for phase, black for neutral and green for earth.

M&L for color code point wiring FRLS PVC insulated and unsheathed cable with 1.5 sqmm copper conductor single core multistandred 1100 volt grade conforming to IS 694 drawn through PVC conduit of suitable size not less than 20mm dia medium grade, concealed /open as per site requirement with suitable size modular metal flush box fitted with modular cover plate with frame (inner/ outer plate) for mounting switches or sockets regulators etc including FRLS 1.5 sqmm earth wire copper insulated wire connected to common earth dolly including making good the existing disturbed surface using wall putty and matching colour emulsion paint complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:- (i) Necessary PVC rigid junction boxes for identifying junction as required on site/directed by Engineer in charge for point wiring work with PVC dummy plates shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) Same size wire shall be used for phase, neutral and earth conductor. (iii) The wiring shall be done strictly by following proper colour coding using red , blue, yellow for phase, black for neutral and green for earth leads.
