Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of Eastern side Clean Sulphur Pit Coils in SA Plant, FACT-CD.

Fabrication of Clean Pit Coils :Collect the required materials from store and transport to work site. Make necessary site arrangements for the work.Prefabricate the coils as per drawings/instructions from engineer in charge and considering the site measurements. Any required modifications by the competent authority shall be incorporated. Structural support for the coils shall be fabricated as per site conditions and instructions from engineer in charge. All weldings shall be full welding only. All weld joints shall be DP tested and witnessed by the concerned engineer in charge. Pressure test the fabricated coils with steam at a pressure of 6 kg/cm2. Clear the site and transport the scrap to scrapyard.

Erection and Hooking Up of New Coils :Make necessary site arrangements for the work.Erect the newly fabricated coils in clean storage pit as per instructions of the engineer in charge . Connect the inlet and outlet headers of steam coils to existing steam network with new isolation valves, steam traps etc. Any additional modification required in the steam lines/replacement of existing steam valves shall be done by the contractor. Additonal steam line tapping if required shall be done by the contractor.All weld joints shall be full welding. Ensure leak proof joints. Providing proper supports for the system wherever necessary as per instruction of engineer in charge.

Fabrication and Erection of Coverplate for Cleanpit With Structural Supports:Collect and transport required materials/structurals from store to work site. Make necessary arrangements for the work. Fabricate and erect structural supports over clean pit area as per instructions from engineer in charge. Structural foundation frame for clean pit pumps shall also be frabricated and erected along with the structural supports as per instructions from competent authority. Fabricate and erect clean pit cover plate from 6/8mm MS plate as per instructions and welding to supports. Fabriction and erection of hand rails, pit level indcator, stair case, opening/inspection covers on the cover plate etc. is also under contractor's scope. After successful completion of work, clear the site and transport the scrap to scrapyard. All structures fabricated shall be painted with two (02) coats of zinc chromate yellow primer of approved make/quality and two (02) coats of synthetic enamel paint of distinct colours of approved make/quality after proper mechanical cleaning using wire brush. All costs incurred in painting including cost of paints, primers, painting equipments, cleaning equipments, handling charges, scaffolding and any other incidental expenses will be under contractor's scope.

Erection and Hooking Up of Clean Pit Pumps :Make necessary site arrangements for the work. Transport the pumps and motors to worksite from concerned workshops. Erect the pump on the new foundations. Align the pump with the foundation and provide base bolts and full tighten the bolts. Erect the motor on the motor base, align motor with pump, provide base bolts and full tighten. Couple the pump and motor,provide coupling guards.Fabricate and provide steam jacketting lines and condensate lines for the pump with required valves,steam traps etc. as per the instructions from engineer in charge and site conditions.
