M & L for carring out the soil investigation in respect of the soil investigation to cover field work and laboratory studies includes :- (a) Mobisation of plants & equipments incl man & materials required at site of soil investigation, setting of boring/drillings as required and demolition of plants and equipments on complition of work etc complete (which includes conveyance of sample collected to testing lab as required for tghe purpose of testing) = 01 Job (b) Boring 150mm dia bore hole to 10m depth throgh following type of strata :- (a) Any Type of Soil = 35 RM (b) Soft Rock = 10 RM (c) Hard Rock = 5 Each (c) Carrying out standard penetration test (SPT) including collection of distrubed soil samples in bore holes at every 1 m depth or any change of strata and submit the report with all requsite data = 50 Each (d) Collection of undirsturbed soil sample at 3M intervals of at any change strata in 100mm bore thin walled tube including waxing sealing and packing = 15 Each (e) Conducting necessary tests on all collected samples which includes the determination of = 05 Each Bore Hole (a) Atterberg Limits (b) Natural Moisture content (c) Wet and dry density unit weight (d) Soil/Particle size (Soil grain size) (e) Consolidation test including pre consolidatino pressure (f) Tri-axial shear test (g) Shrinkage limit (h) Specifice gravity test (j) Direct shear test (C&O determination) (k) Unconfined compression test (l) Crushing strength of rock samples (m) Free sweli index (n) Shrinkage limit (o) Soluble salt content (Sulphate Chloride and PH content) (f) Excavation of trial pit up to 3 m depth having size 1.2 m x 1.2 m x 3.0 m for collecting 3 Nos UDS samples including the test (i) Atterbergs limits (ii) Natural moisture content (iii) Wet and Dry denisity (iv) Particle size (Soil grain size) (v) Triaxial shear test of direct shear test (vi) Specifice gravity (vii) Free swelling index (viii) K Vlaue = 01 Job (g) Compilation of data and submission of report in 04 copies (as per NBC 2016, part 6, Section 2, Para 3.5) contaioning scope of investigation, method of drilling bore hole, sampling of bore hole, visual description of soil sample, ground levels along with ground water table level. Test results (both laboratory and Field) including graphs, photographs of equipment used and samples collected with descriptions, photographs of laboratory test samples after testing, general observations of vicinity (Streams foundation system adipted etc) longitudinal and transverse section profiles of substrata analysis of field and laboratory test results, calculation for arriving at allowable bearing capacity as per IS and pile capacities at suitable depth, recommendation for suitability of foundation = 01 Job
