Fabrication and Replacement of Pipelines in Offsite area and NP Plant, FACT-CD.

Fabrication of MS/CS pipelines in NP Plant and Offsite area. Work involves: MS/CS pipe lines shall be fabricated with necessary fittings to suit the site condition, for the replacement of damaged pipe lines, installing new lines, modification and re-routing of steam and water lines, ammonia lines, Fire Hydrant lines, airlines etc . Collection and transportation of required materials like pipe, cutting gas cylinders, welding rods etc. from CD - stores and comapny primises (including from other palnt areas) if required. The concerned engineer in charge shall inform which pipelines need to be replaced. The contractor shall take the correct measurement of the pipeline to be replaced/rerouting/newline of the pipelines. The contractor shall make the most economical use of straight pipe length in the fabrication. Pipe fittings like elbows, tees, reducers etc required shall be fabricated if it not available. Standard welding procedures will be followed for all weld joints. Consumables such as cutting gas and welding rods for arc welding will be provided by FACT CD. If any joint is found defective, the same shall be rectified properly without additional cost. At the beginning of the work order, if required new cutting gas cylinders will be issued from the Stores dept. at FACT CD. The contractor is responsible for promptly returning the empty cylinders to the stores department. Pipe sizes range from 25NB to 300NB.

Fabrication of pipe lines, bends, reducers, tees for rubber lining in NP Plant and Offsite area. Work involves: MS/CS pipe lines, bends, reducers, tees etc. shall be fabricated with necessary fittings to suit the site condition, for the replacement / modification / re-routing of rubber lining pipelines. Collection and transportation of required materials like pipe,bends, reducers, Tees etc. from CD - stores and comapny primises (including from other palnt areas) if required. The contractor shall make the most economical use of straight pipe length in the fabrication. Pipe fittings like elbows, tees, reducers etc required shall be fabricated if it not available. Standard welding procedures will be followed for all weld joints. Consumables such as cutting gas and welding rods for arc welding will be provided by FACT CD. Flange joints shall be welded properly at inside and outside. Edges and weld joints shall be ground properly for rubber lining. If any joint is found defective, the same shall be rectified properly without additional cost. Fabricated items shall be transported to rubber lining area for rubber lining work. After completing the rubber lining, items shall be transported to NP Plant/Off site area and stack as per the instructions of Engineer - in – Charge. If any problems arise during the replacement of rubber-lined pipelines as per the other work order, such as issues with pipe length not fitting in the designated area, they should be rectified immediately. If necessary, a new pipeline should be fabricated and sent for rubber lining without delay, in accordance with the instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge. Size of pipes and fittings vary from 80NB to 200NB. Rubber lining is not in the scope of this work.

Work involves: SS pipe lines shall be fabricated with necessary fittings to suit the site condition, for the replacement of damaged pipe lines, installing new lines, modification and re-routing of acid lines, ammonia lines, airlines etc . Collection and transportation of required materials from CD - stores and comapny primises (including from other palnt areas) if required. The concerned engineer in charge shall inform which pipelines need to be replaced. The contractor shall take the correct measurement of the pipeline to be replaced/rerouting/newline of the pipelines. The contractor shall make the most economical use of straight pipe length in the fabrication. Pipe Fittings like elbows, tees, reducers etc required shall be fabricated if it not available. Standard welding procedures will be followed, and DP tests will be conducted for all weld joints. For SS pipe fabrication, TIG welding is mandatory. The accessories necessary for TIG welding, including the welding gun, filler rod, Argon gas, plasma cutting set, etc. will be within the contractor's scope. Cutting of the SS 316L Pipes and material shall be done by plasma cutting only and the contractor has to follow the most economical use of straight pipe length or nearest length as per instructions to avoid wastage. Contractor shall carry out proper welding joint preparation such as cleaning, marking out, cutting, profiling, bevelling, grinding, aligning, fitting up, tack welding, cleaning, chipping and final full TIG welding of the joint as per the standard/instruction. The DP test shall be conducted for each welding joint, including the root weld, and the materials required for the DP test are in the scope of contractor. If any joint is found defective, the same shall be rectified properly without additional cost. Pipes shall be in pieces or in full pipe length (5.7 to 6m). Pipe sizes range from 25NB to 300NB.

Erection / Replacement of MS /CS / SS pipelines and fittings in NP Plant and Offsite area. Work involves: The erection/replacement part covers all works required for proper installation of all pre-fabricated pipelines with necessary supprots, valves, flow meter, gauges, etc. at various position / elevation / pipe bridges after getting the process clearance. The work shall include transportation from owner's storage point, handling, rigging, scaffolding, placing and alignment of pipe and fittings into the respective positions and on to their respective supports. Dismantling and fixing back of valves of all sizes, control valves, flow meters etc. on the pipelines as per the site condition will be under contractor's scope. Providing of blind flange and removal of it in the pipeline during the replacement is under scontractor,s scope. The rate includes all operations necessary to complete a flanged joint like cleaning and preparation of flange faces and gaskets, placing, aligning, installation of gasket and bolts / studs, final alignment and tightening the joint without any leak. Erection of the pipeline shall be carried out without any strain and the rework required if any, for achieving this shall be carried out by the contractor. Provide adequate supports for the replaced pipeline. During leak testing, if any joint is found defective, the same shall be rectified at free of cost. Service the line without any leakage. Size of pipes varies from 25NB to 300NB.
