Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

Bidders shall ensure upload of relevant document certifying his/her status as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/other reserved category as prescribed in the tender document.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

The intending bidders are advised to visit the site of work before submitting their tenders.

The contractor / authorized signatory should attach his / her scanned signature to the Schedule-B before uploading the document.

If any of the dates mentioned above happened to be a general holiday, the next working day holds good for the process.

Conditional tenders are liable to be rejected. The officer competent to accept the tender shall have the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Corrigendum will be published only in the web site for all modifications/ corrections if any.

The intending bidders should note that, if any of the lands either in part / parts or in whole required for the works is not acquired by the KBJNL. Hence it is the responsibility of the bidder to take possession of such land and start the work on his own risk and cost.

Contractor should abide by the directions of Government towards recovery of 1% (or as modification by Government from time to time) chess from the contractor bill under the provision of building and construction works (welfare chess vide act-1996).As per the Karnataka building and other construction workers welfare cess act 1996 1 % of the bill amount will be deducted from the bill.

The validity period of EMD shall be for a minimum period of 180 days from the date of opening of tenders.

Security deposit FOR KW-1 WORKS:Within 20 days of receipt of the Letter of Acceptance,the successful Tenderer shall deliver to the Employer a Security deposit in any of the forms given below for an amount equivalent to 5% of the Contract price plus additional Security for unbalanced tender in accordance with clause 25.5 of LTT and clause 44 of the conditions of contract of all works.

The contractor / authorized signatory should attach his / her scanned signature on Letter pad.

If the contractor feels any difficulty while submitting the e-tender he may contact this office during Working hours.

The amounts are excluding GST but inclusive of all other charges.

The increase in GST shall not be paid in the extended period of contract for which the contractor alone is responsible for delay as determined by the authority while granting the extension of time.

The Tenderer has to quote his rate by excluding GST. However contract will be concluded for the AMOUNT (Exclusive of GST) but Applicable GST will be paid extra prevailing at the time of execution. If the GST rates are revised during the contract period, the Tenderer/Employer has to accept the revised GST rates for making payment/recovery.

The Defects liability period is 1 years. The contractor is liable to rectify the defects in the work done up to a period of 1 Year from the date of completion of the work at his cost.

Contractors participating in this tendering process/who intent to submit their bids/bid should produce to this office all the Documents in Original at time of opening of Technical Bid(scanned copy of which they should upload) in e-portal.

During the time of technical evaluation, if the employer finds that any certificates / information furnished is false and fake, such bids will be disqualified and EMD shall be forfeited, barred from the Participation of tendering process.

If any bidder fails to satisfy the conditions, such bids shall be liable for rejection.

The Contractors belonging to SC or ST or CAT-I or CAT-II (A) must upload Caste Certificate in Namune I (For Cat-I and Cat-II (A)) & domicile certificate for being domicile of the State of Karnataka for more than 10 years. (Only for Reserved Works) issued by Competent Authority.

DUE TO LABOUR ORIENTED WORK NEGATIVE TENDERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

If any bidder quotes lowest same price to the works and the award of work will be done by Toss/Lottery system.

The agency for any reason should not give less salary than that stipulated by the common SR/Labour Dept./PWD Dept. for manpower works.

After agreement Agency should be submitted the EPF paid channel particular labour (monthly).
