Supply, Installation, Testing and commissioning of Laying/Replacement of 6 Quad cable in Dhola Jn.(DLJ)- Jaliya(JA), Jaliya(JA)-Dhasa(DAS), Vijapadi(VJD)-Rajula Jn. (RLA), Limbdi(LM)-Wadhwan city(WC), Wadhwan city(WC)- Surendranagar(SRGT) PRCL section of Bhavnagar Division (Phase-II).

Supply of DWC pipe (6 mtrs length) of size 78mm outer diameter and 63.5 mm inner diameter.

Supply of 100 mm internal dia and 3.65mm +/- 10%thickness G.I pipe conforming to IS:1239 (Pt.I)-2004 or latest with sockets and fittings. GI pipe shall have ISI mark on it.

Supply of MS Angle for preparation of J type clamp, 25mm dia MS nut and bolts(02 3 nos.) with water sealed arrangement for fixing prepared J type clamp with ballast retainer wall and hot dip galvanizing of same of same for carrying out of 24 fibers OFC/HDPE/GI Pipe (dia 100 mm) on Major Bridges.

Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr. to 0.6 Mtr wide advised by Engineer-in-charge alongside the track in normal (all type) soil/strata, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling. This work includes clearing of route from bushes 4 etc., covering of cable laid in trench by loose soil for a layer of 50mm thickness approximately before covering by bricks. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Western Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. In case 1m depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions, specific approval of JA grade officer will be required for each site where trench depth of 1m is not possible. Without the approval of JA Grade officer, no payment for trenching will be made for trench depth less than 1m.

Cutting of Hard rock in trenches /Preparation of cable way/Chase 150mm wide at the bottom and 300 mm deep in hard rock (Drg prepared by contactor & approved by Engineer In charge) 5 for laying of S&T cables where minimum required depth not possible & which is verified and agreed by Engineer In charge of the work or his representative shall be made as per Drg. No RE/S&T/ALD/SK/301/85. Refilling of the same with concrete mixture of 1:3:6 from top of the cable way/ chase. Payment of concrete will be made separately through a separate item in the schedule of work.

Cement concrete work for miscellaneous items in the ratio 1: 3: 6. Item includes excavation, ramming, curing and plastering with cement & sand mixture (aggregate not exceeding 3.8 cm.) (Aggregate cement & sand to be supplied by the contractor).

Horizontal direction drilling/boring without damage of surface road using Auger Machine. The bore shall be 150 mm Dia & shall be done at the depth of minimum 1200 mm from the 7 ground level. The ground level shall be considered ignoring the bank height of the bank of the road. The length of the bore shall be minimum 4 Mtr long. The HDD with or without HDPE pipe as per direction of Engineer In charge. Note: DWC pipe supply is taken as separate item. This item also includes cable laying (HDD boring).

Cutting of platform with tile/rock cutting machine or manually to 30 cm depth and 12 cm wide approx. by removing slabs/tiles neatly and re-filling the trench with the excavated soil and restoring the top surface to its original condition with smooth finish.

Fixing of 100 mm dia GI pipes to carry all the cable at the cabins, Stations, cable huts & other buildings etc.,

Fixing of GI pipe (100 mm dia.) on Major/Minor/Culverts bridges using above supply item. (Sr. No. 2)

Laying of 6 Quad cable in excavated trench

Laying and jointing of PIJF cable in the excavated trench, inside GI pipe, DWC pipe etc. and inserting the cable in building taking due care while transporting and laying.

Supply and installation of Maintenance Free Safe Earthing for Telecom Installations as per specification No. RDSO /SPN/TC/197/2008 with latest amendments consisting of single earth pit (Ring Earth).

Supply and installation of Class -B type lightening arrester for 100 KA 10/350 micro 14 second for single phase supply along with Class -C type surge arrester for 40 KA 8/20 micro second for single phase supply as per RDSO Specification no. RDSO/SPN/TC/98/2011 Rev.0 or latest with housing arrangement.

Fixing and termination of metal DP box 20 pair with locking arrangement fitted with krone module.

Making of straight through joint for Quad cable.

Making of Derivation through joint for Quad cable.

Supply and placing of one layer of standard size of 'B' grade quality bricks of the local make spreading on cables laid.

Fabrication of EC socket box, assembly and erection of fabricated assembly at the location indicated as per direction of Engineer in charge. This includes cutting of rails to required size, supply and welding of GI Pipe and base plate, fixing of EC Socket box, transportation of material to 19 site, digging bf pit and erection of whole assembly at site. The work also includes the termination of 6 Quad/PIJF derivation cable on the strips of 6 pin EC socket inside emergency socket box. The fabrication of EC Socket box shall be done as per Drg No. Rail post will be supplied free of cost at the SSE (Tele) depot in full lengths. Note - In addition to above, the centre pins of EC sockets shall be terminated with a dedicated pair of 6 Quad cable (Derivate through the tail PIJF cable) in the entire block section so as to provide magneto/auto telephone communication from each EC socket.

Fixing of EC sockets complete with termination of 6 Quad /PIJF derivation cable on the 20 strip of 6 pin EC socket inside the EC socket box on a good quality laminated boards at SM building, cabins, Sub stations, tunnels and wherever necessary as per instructions of the engineer in charge at site. The work includes painting of the metallic portion of the socket assembly using enamel paint.
