Surface excavation in soft/loose soil, not exceeding 30cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out, complete all as specified.

Excavating over areas, n exc 1.5m deep and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified.

M & L for removing excavated soils n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for hardcore of broken stone or boulders gauge n exc. 63mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15cm thick, watered and remmed to a true surface, complete all as specified.

M & L for 75mm thick cement concrete type D-2 1:4:8 ( using 40mm graded aggregate) as in sub base complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for 100mm thick cement concrete type B-1 1:2:4 ( using 20mm graded aggregate) as in flooring, hard standing and the like laid in alternate bays surface finished even and rough without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for forming 12mm thick Expansion joints filled with preformed bituminous filler and top 30mm primed and sealed with sealing compound, Grade ‘A’, Thickness of concrete slab in 100mm, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L for forming Contraction (Dummy) joints 100mm deep x 12mm wide, filled with sealing compound, Grade `A`, Thickness of concrete slab in 100mm, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L for rolling and consolidating formation surfaces with 8 to 12 tonne power roller including filling in soft spots, depressions etc, which occur rolling (for portion coming in cutting/original ground only) to required camber and gradient etc,including watering before or during rolling complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L 200mm thick (spread thickness ) for soling (or sub base) with broken stones (granite ,trap or basalt) of size range 63mm to 100mm,deposited, spread,leveled in one layer, interstices filled,surface formed, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM in two layers of 7.5cm each,with,coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size ), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller as required (Granite trap or basalt ) , complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical air compressor gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, Unsurfaced Water bound macadam, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L for applying evenly a priming tack coat of bituminous emulsion or paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 10 KG per 10 Sqm over WBM surfaces premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), Binder content 4% by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, laid with mechanical paver roller and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller Paving bitumen any penetration, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat of bituminous emulsion paving bitumen (VG-10) at the rate of 5kg per 10 sq metres of road surface and providing 40 mm thick (consolidated thickness) bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete with 5.5% of paving bitumen binder (VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in hot mix plant, laid with mechanical paver roller and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Formwork to edges of concrete flats, treads breaks in floors, window cills, concrete railings, openings in concrete walls, floor and roofs not exc 20cm wide and sides of RCC/PCC bands in walls, horizontal or sloping and similar work exc 5 cm but not exc 10 cm wide

M & L for continuous brick edging using burnt clay bricks of sub class `B`, old size bricks; with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
