REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF EARTHING PIT, LIGHTENING PROTECTION AND OTHER CONNECTED ITEMS AT VARIOUS LOCATION AT TECH AREA UNDER GE(AF) JAMNAGAR NO. 1

Deployment of manpower, instrument, tools, and all connected accessories for testing of earth resistance of existing earthing at provided earth test point for each earth set by competent calibrated digital earth test meter, electronic type along with accessories (earth rod set with Cu wire with clips) and recording the result dully signed with date by MES representative, contractor and concern channel (User & Wks Sec) all as specified & as directed by Engg-in - Charge.

NOTE:- (a) Testing of each earthing shall be carried out at the interval of 3 months and measurement shall be done and paid for each time separately and test result shall be maintained dully signed with date by MES representative and contractor. (b) Pouring of water in each earth pit is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (c) Necessary arrangement to be made by the contractor for pouring the water in earth pits. Vehicle reqd for carrying/storage of water (upto to the site) with helper will be arranged by contractor and deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (d) Cost of Maintenance of carrying vehicle (if any) and cost of fuel reqd for veh is deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

(e) Earth Resistance value should be measured with microprocessor based Megger with inbuilt Printer (Model No. : DET - µP of make electron Device or Equivalent make) and accuracy should be ± 1% upto 0.01 Ω. (f) Printing charge with sheet cost is deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

Supply and fix in replacement Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size of 75 mm x 75 mm x 25 mm drilled and screwed with 3 Nos 8 mm dia and 25 mm long screw, fixed in SMC junction box of size (200 x 140 x95)mm with hinged door fixed on wall complete all as specified and as directed. Note : SMC junction box will be measured and paid separately under respective items of this Schedule.

M&L for PCC earthing pit in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 of internal size 300 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm with 120 mm thick wall and 700 mm x 700 mm x 150 mm thick bed concrete and 50 mm thick precast chamber cover of RCC 1:2:4, type B1 , reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), complete all as shown in the electrical plate No 3 of SSR part –I including demolition of old pit and removal of debris outside defence land complete.

Supply and pour Earthing Soil Resistivity improvement compound Gel, Enhancement compound Transparent Liquid Jel in 5 Kg packing all as specified and directed.

Supply and filling of Common Salt in existing conventional earth pits all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for Brazing of copper strip using brazing torch at suitable temp and using brazing rod all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour in replacement for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 32x6mm galvanised iron strip.

Material & Labour in replacement for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 25x3mm aluminium strip.

Material & Labour in replacement for Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required t 20x3mm copper strip

M&L for marking of earthing pit (GI earth / Copper earth / Chemical earth) with two or more coat of synthetic enamel paint, colour & pattern as approved by the Engr-in-Charge, Letter size shall not be less than 50 mm complete all as specified & directed.

M & L for fixing in repairs Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long all.

M & L for fixing in repairs Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long.

S&F in repairs Air termination, with 5 spikes Star pointed copper rod 15 mm dia ,1500 mm long and 100 micron copper bonded lightening conductor with base, fixed in position on pole with clamp,nuts and bolts including connection with existing earthing complete all as specifed and directed.

S&F in repairs PCC block Hollow (15cmx15cmx20cm) for fixing of GI/Aluminium/Copper strip with suitable size of insulators on roof top complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for provision of tripod chemical earthing including disconnecting and dismantling of existing earthing comprising of three chemical earthing as per drawing attached (Sketch No 01). The chemical earthing will have specification as follows :- (a) Copper electrode of wall thickness minimum 2 mm not less than 3 mtr length with not less than 75mm outer dia . (b) Fixing of copper Earth Electrode by drilling / boring 175 mm dia hole, 5.00 mtr deep in any type of strata, placing electrode in hole, return filling excavated soil by mixing min 10 kg GEL per bore and 75 kg Soil Resistivity Improvement (SRIP) compound as per manufacturer instruction

c) FRP earthing result display board 254 x 380mm made out of plastic material showing information related to type of earthing, earthing result, due date of testing along with fixing size 610mm height made of plastic hollow pipe of dia 20 mm. (d)Heavy duty poly plastic Earth pit cover of HDPE material, green color, Bottom diameter ( OD 320 mm / ID 290 mm) of wall thickness 5 mm, height 260 mm with top cover, fixed in position as per manufacturer instruction complete by use of pCC around the cover for setting it properly on ground surface.

(f) Contractor must visit the site before quoting the tender to understand the difficulty and cost for carrying out the job in the station. It is important that contactor ascertain the quantum of work. (g) Contractor must produce the certificate from the manufacturer that chemical earthing has been carried out by manufacturer. (h) Extension strip from electrode strip up to 0.15 m height from GL and interconnecting strip of electrode shall be deemed included in quoted rate including brazing. (g) Earthing resistance result shall be less than 1ohm.if the result comes more than 1 ohm ,the contractor shall carry out the earthing at seperate location /sie given by engg- in- charge after taking out of earth electrode without any extra cost to the department.

Material and labour for provision of single rod chemical earthing including disconnecting and dismantling of existing earthing comprising of one copper rod, chemical earthing as per drawing attached (Sketch No 02). The chemical earthing will have specification as follows :- (a) Copper electrode of wall thickness minimum 2 mm not less than 3 mtr length with not less than 75mm outer dia . (b) Fixing of copper Earth Electrode by drilling / boring 175 mm dia hole, 5.00 mtr deep in any type of strata, placing electrode in hole, return filling excavated soil by mixing min 10 kg GEL per bore and 75 kg Soil Resistivity Improvement (SRIP) compound as per manufacturer instruction

Efficency >095 &<_98 , level 1, length 80cm , ∆t For early stremer warning 40 µSec ; 58 protection radius at Height of 5 mtr(Accoding to NFC-17-102-2011 standards) and connecting with existing earthing with copper cable of suitable size and core all as specified and directed . Material and labour for provision of earthing complete with galvanized iron earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m deep below normal ground connected to galvanised mild steel strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer of galvanized steel, watering pipe of 20 mm bore galvanised iron medium grade and 40 mm bore galvanised iron light grade for earth strip protection including.....

........type B1 for precast chamber cover 50 mm thick, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric or XPM Jali (weight not less than 4.00 Kg / sqm), with charcoal, salt, funnel complete and testing on completion including disconnecting and dismantling of existing earthing. (iv) Transportation charges to & fro for arrangement of black soil is deemed to be included in the rate quotted. (v) Tools and plants to be required for making depth up to 4mtr is to be arranged by contractor. Charge for the same is included in the rate quotted.

Supply and fix in repair Plasticised PVC pipes of pressure rating 10 kgf/cm2 of bore dia 15mm laid in trenches.

Supply and fix in repair Unplasticiscd PVC pipes of pressure rating 10 kgf/cm2 of bore dia 20mm laid in trenches.

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size UPVC half turn cock valve for UPVC pipe and fixed ISI marked complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair 15 mm size PVC perforated caps screw to end of puff or vent pipe fixed on UPVC pipe and its should ISI marked complete all as specified and directed .

M&L in replacement for stainless steel mast of 40 mm dia and length 6.0 metre (approximate weight 18.40 kilogram) fixed on roof, slab/wall duly embedded in the platform of size 40x40x100cm(cement concrete (1:2:4) up to depth of 1m complete and supporting mast by Guy cables of suitable dia(according to height of lightening conductor or mast) in Tripod supporting pattern with an angle of 120 degree between wires complete all as specified and directed by engg-in-charge
