NOTES ON ITEM SRL NO. 01 TO 06 ABOVE

1. Please note that all the line plan/architractural drgs/structural drgs/Soil Test Report shall be submitted duly vetted from IIT/NIT.

2. Please note that all the reports shall be submitted in 04 hard copies & soft copie for Item Srl No. 01 to 06 above seperately.

3. Test report should include all the tests as required for designing the foundation such as SPT values bore logs classification and also should cover the general recommendations for the proposed type, of foundation system safe bearing capacity likely total settlement etc. The report shall be submitted in quintuplicate duly bounded in a presentable manner. The units rate quote shall be deemed to include cost of submission of such reports and samples of Soil.

4. Bore log data showing stratification of soil at various depths and level of water table shall be furnished. Collection of disturbed/undisturbed samples as per IS 2132-1986 and carrying out laboratory test for the following Sieve analysis Consolidation characteristics, Particle size, Natural moisture content, Wet and dry density, Shear strength characteristics, Specific gravity, C value, moisture content. Plasticity index, Swelling pressure and free swell index for clayey Soils.

5. Conducting plate load test as per IS 5249-1992 where essential will be decided in consultation with the soil investigation agency. Evaluation of safe bearing capacity based on shear failure and settlement failure criteria. Refer IS 1904-1986. IS 8009b Part I & II) Allowable bearing capacity at various depths of 1.0 m, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 1.8 m and 2 m more as required below "GL is to be given with suggestion for economical width and type of foundation to be adopted Carrying out swelling test of sample for determining presence of expansive soil Recommendation on use of under reamed pile foundation including diameter. Length, number of under reams and safe load carrying capacity. Recommendation for suitability of earth obtained from foundation trenches for back filling and filling under floor also shall be given. Water will be supplied by the Department.

6. In addition to above the report should contain following tests, as applicable to the soil on ground:

(a) Soil plate/Plate load test carried out at 5 mtr depth.

(b) Bore hole chart

(c) Profile of all type bore holes.

(d) Bearing capacity calculation indicating SBC of soil with the type of foundation and depth.

(e) Consolidated test on undisturbed sample.

(f) Chemicals analysis of ground water.

(g) Unconsolidated and un-drained triaxial shear test.

(h) Crushing strength of hard rock samples recovered.

(j) SBC of ground with type of foundation.

(k) Existing water table (if met)

(l) Photographic record during the progress.
