MISCELLANEOUS HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES AT BPCL MCI

Miscellaneous housekeeping services at MCI 1. The BPCL POL Mangalore Coastal Installation (MCI) was commissioned in the year 2000 to serve the state of Karnataka's expanding fuel needs. It draws on MRPL's product as well as product from ocean tankers at NMPT via cross-country buried pipelines intended for MS, Naphtha, and HSD. MCI serves the several sales territories of Gulbarga, Calicut, Rescue loads to Belgaum, I&C, and the retail territory of Mangalore. The first NANO facility of BPCL, it features 13 A/G storage tanks with different capacities and is entirely automated. 2. MCI is expecting an ISA audit on 14.10.2024. Due onset of heavy monsoon from June 2024, high vegetation growth was observed across the 69 acres of land. A good layer of sediments has accumulated in the drain along with algae growth on its sides. Huge vegetation growth is observed across the green belt area of the location. Also, proper gardening is required across the green belt. Algae growth is also observed across all dyke floorings and walls. 3. To set the housekeeping in order before ISA, present housekeeping staff is insufficient. Hence it is proposed to get the job of drainage cleaning, vegetation removal, gardening works and dyke cleaning activities through a third party. 4. We need to get housekeeping in order by using specialized grass cutting equipment, tree cutters, tractors, tractor loaders and unloaders, surface cleaners, non-sparking metal scrubbers etc. Drainage cleaning work includes removal of sediments and loading it to tractors, shifting the sediment to designated place using tractors and unloading . Vegetation clearing work includes cutting of grass using specialized FLP grass cutters, non-sparking long forks for accumulation, loading the accumulated grass on to tractors, shifting to designated places and unloading . Gardening works include climbing by the specialized manpower and/ or using cranes (if required), cutting and trimming of the tree branches, cutting of the fallen tree trunks, shifting and clearing the debris using tractor or lorries using skilled and unskilled workforce as required including all tools and machinery, using safety harness etc. Cleaning of dyke includes scrubbing the floors and walls using non-sparking metal scrubbers, accumulating the debris, loading and shifting to designated places .
