MAINTENANCE OF SHOULDER PORTION OF AIR FIELD AREA BY EXPLORING MECHANICAL WEED CUTTER AND GRASS CUTTING/ BUSHES ETC AT SHOULDERS OF RUNWAY/ TAXI TRACKS, DRAINS AND CERTAIN MAINTENANCE AT AFS KUMBHIRGRAM

Material and labour for Mechanized cleaning of Vegetation and grass around the runway, taxi track and link road etc of runways/taxi track within Air Force station Kumbhirgram by providing jungle jim/Shrub master/Rotary slasher 01 No (minimum width 72 inch )alongwith tractor and having minimum 45 HP power including driver and helper and including fuel (Diesel), lubricant, engine oil etc and disposal of the same should be made outside Station premiises as per prevailing Govt norms all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (i) Daily log book shall be maintained by the contractor and obtain the signature of user and concerned JE. (ii) No claim shall be entertained if the machine is not required for full working day for any day as directed by Engineer-In-Charge and not order by the user. (iii) One number Jungle jim alongwith tractor, driver/operator and helper shall be arranged by the contractor as and when required and as directed. (iv) Cost of maint of Jungle Jim including tractor deemed to be included in quoted rates by contractor during working period. One hour lunch break during working period will not be considered for payments to contractor. (v) All the movement to be done in consultation with user & JE (Civ) (vi) In the event of major repair, alternate machinery to be provided on no extra cost basis. (vii) No pers to carry/in possession of mobile phones. (viii) Safety gears to be worn all time during working hours. (ix) Penalty of Rs. 20,000/- will be levied for leaving any rubbish, food waste etc & for any unauthorised movement without consultation of user/JE (Civ). (x) Skilled driver to be employed and he/she must be in possession of valid driving licence. (xi) Police verification must be done before commencement of the work for the driver and helper

Dressing of ground by cutting/removing vegetation, scrapping, cleaning of all grass, shrubs,bushes,weeds, trees and saplings not exceeding 30cm in girth (Measured at a height of one metre above the ground level) on either side of Runway, Taxi-track and adjacent places by engaging 2.5 HP Bush grass cutter with operators including necessary fuel and lubricant etc for bush cutter all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Grass/ bushes etc shall be removed from the site where directed but outside the periphery of area under clearance, useful materials shall be stacked where directed (one Bush grass cutter with operator shall be measured as one unit ) Note: Minimum 03 units of Bush grass cutter with operators ( 3 ltrs petrol carry each bush cutting machine)shall be deployed at site. The requirement may vary as per quantum of work and the same will be communicated telephonically two days in advance.

Dressing of ground by cutting/removing vegetation, scrapping, cleaning of all grass, shrubs,bushes,weeds, trees and saplings not exceeding 30cm in girth (Measured at a height of one metre above the ground level upto 10-15 feet around the light of Runway/ Taxi-track) at apron and other places as directed by Engineer-in-charge completely by manual labour deploying 04 Nos labour minimum per day (Labour may vary from 04 Nos to required nos depending upon the quantum of work ) including making up surface all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Grass/ bushes etc shall be collected and removed from the site by mechanical transport where directed but outside the periphery of area under clearance and useful materials shall be stacked and is property of the MES . Note: 1. Contractor's quoted rates are deemed to be inclusive of necessary tools to the labours as per working requirement 2. All other notes as per contract provision will also be applicable 3. Minimum 4 labour for drain cleaninig.
