Particulars of Item Unit
Design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning ±
MVAR, 220kV/ xx kV Static Synchronous Compensator
A (STATCOM) meeting all the functional objectives, scope of
the work and common technical requirements as per
relevant technical specifications.
STATCOM unit comprising of following but not limited to
a. IGBT Valve modules
b Valve control, monitoring and Protection units
(Fulfilling all the requirements of Control, Monitoring and
Protection of STATCOM)
c Substation Automation System
1 d. Cooling system with Battery and UPS / UMD Set 1
e AC-DC Auxiliary Power system
(Fulfilling all the complete requirements of Control, Monitoring,
Operation and Protection of STATCOM for desired operation)
f. All other equipment/ item/ system / accessories not covered
above but, necessary for satisfactory operation of STATCOM
Disturbance recorder as per relevant specifications and to suit
2 the STATCOM system requirement Nos 1
Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of
materials/item for Power Cable, Control Cable and Fibre
Optic Cable as per respective technical specifications and
relevant specifications and conditions.
Supply and Laying of 1.1 kV FRLSH PVC armoured
copper/Aluminium control/LT power cable in trench including
binding/clamping of cable with PVC lockable wire tie as per
requirement including supply and fixing of identification tags at
both ends and at distance of every 100mtr.
Armoured Control & LT Power cables as per STATCOM system
1 requirement Package LS LS
(except for Coupling Transformer)
Armoured Fibre Optic cable as per STATCOM System
2 Package LS LS
requirements (Except SAS)
Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Modular
Variable-diameter Cable sealing system as per respective
technical specification and relevant special conditions wherever
the electrical / instrumentation / communication / LT Power cable
underground and over-ground enter or leave STATCOM
Building cable trench
G Operation and Maintenance of STATCOM
Operation of STATCOM during first six month of the guarantee

period jointly with GETCO (Mandatory to quote)
Maintenance of the STATCOM for initial period of 5 years

(excluding guarantee period) (Mandatory to quote)
The scope includes all the material / equipments, whether mentioned or not but required to
complete the STATCOM System in all respects.
Package' includes all the material in required quantity to complete the STATCOM System as
per latest standards and best practices.
3 Spare shall be considered and quoted as per separately provided Spare BOQ
