| 1INSULATION IMPROVEMENT WORK OF ALIND MAKE MINIMUM OIL CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN FACT PETROCHEMICAL PLANTS | |||||
| 1.01 | Initial measurement, dismantling, surface preparation, washing and oven drying of Alind make 11 kV Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker (Model No.- HL 410):
The scope of work includes:
1. Initial measurement: Prior to the commencement of work, the bidder shall measure and record the Insulation Resistance (IR) and Polarization Index (PI) values for all phase-to-earth and phase-to-phase combinations. Measurements shall be taken in the presence of FACT Engineer-in-Charge using instruments provided by FACT.
2.Dismantling: Each circuit breaker pole shall be removed from the breaker assembly after draining all insulating oil from the pole. Then the pole housing shall be carefully separated from the internal components of the pole.
3. Surface preparation: Remove existing paint and coating from the inner and outer surfaces of each pole housing.
4. Removal of contaminants: After surface preparation,De-greasing procedures shall be carried out for complete removal of oil, grease, dust, dirt, moisture, and other contaminants from the surface.
5.Oven drying: Subject each pole housing to oven drying (10 Hrs minimum) under controlled temperature and humidity conditions to eliminate residual moisture and ensure proper insulation characteristics. | 5 | LS | - | - |
| 1.02 | Application of high-voltage insulating epoxy coating, painting and reassembly of Alind make 11 kV Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker (Model No.- HL 410):
The scope of work includes:
1. Application of epoxy coating(varnish): After oven drying, apply high-voltage insulating epoxy varnish on the inner and outer surfaces of each pole housing.
2.Oven drying: Each pole housing shall be subjected to oven drying under controlled temperature and humidity conditions until the drying process is complete..
Note: The supply of high-voltage insulating epoxy varnish shall be within the scope of the bidder. Approved make for epoxy coating is specified in the special terms and conditions.
2. Surface Finishing (Painting):After epoxy coating has cured, apply one coat of primer followed by two coat of finish paint on the outer surface of each pole housing.
Note: The approved make for primer and finish paint is specified in the special terms and conditions. The supply of primer, finish paint, thinner and any other item not covered under FACT's scope in the special terms and conditions, but required for the successful completion of the work shall be within the scope of the bidder.
3. Reassembly: After completion of insulation and painting, each circuit breaker pole shall be assembled by integrating the treated pole housing with its respective internal components. The fully assembled pole shall then be installed into the respective circuit breaker, ensuring proper alignment and connections as per OEM (ALIND) manufacturer guidelines. After reassembly, each pole shall be filled with new insulating oil supplied by FACT.
Note: During reassembly, all gaskets, O-rings and washers shall be replaced with new ones of appropriate dimensions and materials suitable for the circuit breaker and shall conform to the relevant IS/IEC standards. The supply of all these items shall be within the scope of the bidder. | 5 | LS | - | - |
| 1.03 | Replacement of wooden supports of Alind make 11 kV Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker (Model No.- HL 410):
The scope of work includes:
1. The existing wooden supports shall be replaced with new wooden supports coated with high-voltage insulating epoxy coating(Varnish).
Note: The supply of new wooden supports with high-voltage insulating epoxy varnish of suitable dimensions and insulation resistance grade conforming to the ALIND (OEM) standard for 11 kV Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker (Model No.- HL 410)shall be within the scope of the bidder. | 5 | LS | - | - |
| 1.04 | Testing and acceptance of Alind make 11 kV Minimum Oil Circuit Breaker (Model No.- HL 410):
The MOCB on which insulation resistance enhancement works have been carried out shall be tested in accordance with the acceptance criteria. .
The bidder shall be responsible for performing the Insulation Resistance (IR) and Polarization Index (PI).tests.
All equipment required to carry out the tests specified under Section 5 of Special Terms and Conditions shall be duly calibrated and shall be within the bidder’s scope. The acceptance criteria based on the test results are specified in Clause 5 of the Special Terms and Conditions.
Note: All tests to be conducted in the presence of FACT Engineer-in-Charge or their duly authorised representative and the bidder shall submit all measurement reports for each completed stage of the work for verification, approval and record. All testing activities shall be carried out within the premises of FACT Udyogamandal Complex. | 5 | LS | - | - |
