M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6.3mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level connected to galvanized earth lead wire 4.0mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 5 of SSR Part-I connected to earthing test point all as specified and continuous earth wire on distribution boards. all as specified and testing on completion, including provision of earth wire protected by 15 mm dia GI light grade protection pipe from test point to main board and 20mm GI medium grade watering pipe funnel, PCC earth pit and RCC cover, charcoal, salt and GI wire up to 7.5 mtr including excavation and earth work etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for maintenance free chemical earthing system as per IS code 3049 ;1987 using ISOGEL of Tercel or equivalent of Macmet or Erico, Chemical earth enhancing compound 40Kg, using 03 Copper rods of 16mm dia 3 mtr long and place in 65mm dia bore back filled with mixture of Isogel and Soil connected these three rods with Copper strip of size 32x6 mm laying at least 2 feet below in the ground and back filled with mixture of Isogel and Soil. The connection of Copper strip with rod shall be down Bimetallic U' clamps. A 32x6 mm copper strip shall be used to extend the earth point up to the test point (max length of copper strip should not be more then 7.5 mtr) The test point shall be made of brass of size 120x120x25mm in IP 55 enclosure.
