REPAIRS TO CERTAIN INTERNAL ROADS AT INS DRONACHARYA UNDER GE FORT KOCHI.

Amount

Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm, exc 50 mm but n exc 100mm deep complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. Note:- Retrieved materials are not reusable and should be disposed off at low lying area.

Material and Labour for repairs to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix as specified for 25 mm consolidated thickness of bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete in serial item No 5 here-in-after and filled up to the top level of existing road, well rammed and compacted with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, depth of pot holes not exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. Note:-Pot holes shall be marked by Engineer in Charge before commencement of work and shall be marked on drawing. The same shall be entered in MB after making good and before laying of semi dense ashphaltic concrete/premix carpet.

Material and Labour for preparing black topped road surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or using air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of bituminous primer @ 5 Kg/10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge.

Material and Labour for Premix bituminous macadam using 4% binder (paving bitumen) by weight of total mix laid manually or with mechanical pavers (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), rolled and compacted to gradient and chamber required with 8 to10 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. Note :- Tack coat as applicable shall be measured and paid under respective item including preparation and cleaning of surfaces.

Material and Labour for Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix laid with self propelling mechanical pavers, rolled and consolidated to required camber and gradient with 8 to10 tonne power roller to a uniform surface complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge.
