Manning and Operation of Pump House and sewage treatment plant at Anarwala and certain repair/replacement of Zone B Area under AGE E/M-I of GE Dehradun

Manning & Operation and maintenance of Anarwala pump house with trained man power consisting of Centrifugal Pump Set-04 Nos, Chlorine Plant, DG Set, Slow sand filter-02 Nos, Pressure filter-01 No., Valves and other accessories on the following requirements:-

Notes: (a) The pump house shall be operated with one No FGM ITI qualified in relevant trade with minimum 5 years experience in the M&O of pump houses, in each shift for three shifts in a day including sundays and holidays.

(b) Operator shall be responsible for proper recording of all operating parameters in the prescribed log book/ register all as directed.

(c) The work includes operation of Tube well, chloronome plant, DG set, slow sand filters, pressure filter,routine maintenance of machinery, distribution of water as directed, cleaning of area etc as per direction of EIC.

(d) Operator will be responsible for timely collection of chemicals, POL, Engine oil from MES store yard as and when required.

(e) The work includes routine cleaning of pump house premises as per direction of EIC. Note: Periodical cutting of grass, vegitation, bushes, and removing debris as per directions of Engineer-inCharge shall be measured and paid separately under respective item of this BOQ)

(f) In case of power break down the contractor will liaise MRS to restore the power supply for running of plants.

(g) In case the plant remains unoperational due to absence of operator or any other default made by the contractor, the proportional recovery from the contractor will be made at the double the rate with reference to the quoted rates by the contractor for the entire shift irrespective of the period for which plant remained unoperational during a shift.

(h) Operators shall be equipped with mobile phone and number shall be intimated to the Engineer-in-Charge.

(i) All operators shall maintain healthy decorum and get themselves conversant with any visiting officers and office staff. They shall be in proper uniform with MES logos and name plates on chest as approved by Engineer-in-Charge.

(j) The tenderers are advised to visit the site to know the exact condition of the swimming pool before quoting the rate.

(k) Successful operation of the plant to the entire satisfaction of GE is sole responsibility of contractor.

(l) The rate also include regular greasing and oiling of pump sets, motors gland packing for pump sets (including M&O). However, other repairs/maint store required shall be measured and paid separately. The operators shall be responsible for the complete security of the plant including necessary watch and ward, maintenance of garden lawn etc.

Manning & Operation of sluice valves at water supply installations, over head water tanks including water supply net work for proper water supply to users as directed by Engineer-in-Charge at (a) Ghungora Pump house - 01 No Valve man. Note:- The valve man will operate the valves of OHT/installations and the valve's of the distributions network of the particular area at the timings of the water supply as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Notes:(a) The valves shall be operated with one No valve man including sundays and holidays at the timings of the water supply as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

(b) In case the valves are not operated due to absence of valveman or any other default made by the contractor, the proportional recovery from the contractor will be made at the double the rate with reference to the quoted rates by the contractor for the entire day irrespective of the period for which the system remained unoperational during a day.

(c) Valveman shall be equipped with mobile phone and number shall be intimated to the Engineer-in-Charge.

(d) Valveman shall maintain healthy decorum and get themselves conversant with any visiting officers and office staff. They shall be in proper uniform with MES logos and name plates on chest as approved by Engineer-in-Charge.

(e) The tenderers are advised to visit the site to know the exact condition of the distribution system before quoting the rate.

(f) Successful operation of the water supply disribution system to the entire satisfaction of GE is sole responsibility of contractor.

M&L for scrapping of old dull paint from the surface and cleaning the surface properly and spray painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over one coat of red oxide primer for the following:- Make: First quality of Asian / Nerolac / Berger.

(a) Pump/motor set of 10 to 20 HP capacity including base frame, panel board including suction and delivery line with sluice valve and NRV etc. complete.

(b) Pump/motor set of 25 to 40 HP capacity including base frame, panel board including suction and delivery line with sluice valve and NRV etc. complete.

(c) Pump/motor set of 50 to 75 HP capacity including base frame, panel board including suction and delivery line with sluice valve and NRV etc. complete.

(d) Pump/motor set of 125 HP capacity including base frame, panel board including suction and delivery line with sluice valve and NRV etc. complete.

(e) Pump/motor set of suction sweeper (2.0 / 3.0 HP set) with trolly and base frme and connected metallic parts etc. complete.

M&L for cleaning of pump house area by means of removing debris, cutting of grass, bushes, plant growth and disposed off up to a distance not more than 50mtr from the starting point all as directed at site at various pump houses under Zone ‘B’ area.

M&L for cleaning of top layer of filter bed size 33.50x12.60x2.70mtr by digging 30 cm sand, brooming down and scrapping all the side walls upto top of filter media , including all valves, channels and wash out drain etc removing fungus, scales, dirt, sludge etc., taking out sludge from inside of tank and depositing the same at a distance not more than 100 mtrs and washing the tank inside with water and chemicals such as bleaching powder, caustic soda etc, draining out water and applying one coat of white wash on internal surface of the tank, writing date of cleaning in white capital letters with sythetic enamel paint on black back ground, size of letters 80 x 10mm complete all as specified.

M&L for cleaning of sedimentation tank of size 10.80x4x4.20 by brooming down all the side walls, bottom, removing fungus, scales, dirt, sludge etc., taking out from inside of tank and depositing the same at a distance not more than 100 mtrs and washing the tank inside with water and chemicals such as bleaching powder, caustic soda etc, draining out water and applying one coat of white wash on internal and external surface of the tank, writing date of cleaning in white capital letters with sythetic enamel paint on black back ground, size of letters 80 x 10mm, and painting all inlets, outlets, washouts and overflow pipes and other metallic parts with one coat of black enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed. Notes: (a) The item shall include all type of scaffolding, supports, ladders, platforms etc. and safety equipments required for working in the sumps. (b) Internal surface of the tank after washing and cleaning shall be got approved from the Engr-in-Charge before carrying out further treatment. (c) The tenderers are advised to visit the site to know the exact location, depth and condition of the tanks before quoting the rate.

Dismantling/taking out defective sluice valve from the existing pipe lines by opening/cutting corroded Nuts/bolts, removing of packing etc. complete and Supply and fixing new CI sluice valve both end flanged dully drilled for both ends with stainless steel spindle and nuts, stuffing box etc. Type PN-1.6, ISI marked Make : Kirloskar/BIR of following sizes :-

(a) 150 mm bore

(b) 100 mm bore

(c) 80 mm bore

Dismantling and taking out old unserviceable foot valve and supply and fixing new foot valve, One end flanged and strainer to the other side of Make : Kirloskar/BIR for the following sizes:-

Disconnecting electrical connection and taking down unserviceable fully automatic starter of capacity 50 to 75 HP from base frame and transporting to workshop if required for cleaning and replacement of U/S parts and re-fixing back after repair complete all as specified & directed. (Note:- Spare parts required for replacement shall be measured & paid for separately under respective item of Sch 'A' as supply only rates but labour for the same cost is included in this item.

Supply only following spares to be replaced as repair to fully automatic starter (Make and model of spares shall be as per existing make):-

(a) Fixed power copper contactor suitable for 50 to 75 HP star delta starer.

(b) Moving power copper contactor suitable for 50 to 75 HP starter.

(c) RJ timer with coil and time delay range 3-12 seconds suitable for 40/60 HP starter.

(d) Over load relay suitable for 50 to 75 HP starter.

Supply only Calcium Hypo Chlorite having 65%-70% Chlorine Content (Calcium based granular disinfectant) for general water treatment & swimming pool water treatment, in factory sealed container/drum (45 kg packing), complete all as specified and directed. Calcium Hypochlorite detailed specifications : (a) Chemical analysis & physical observations : Description : Whitish granules Granular size (Mesh passing through - 100 BSS): 1.1(+ 0.1)% Water/moisture : < 5.00% Mercury & other Heavy Metal contaminants : BDL. M & L for taking down from base frame, disconnecting from coupling, centrifugal pumping set installed at pump house, of Type DSM- 100/36 Make - KIRLOSKAR of discharge capacity 20,000 gallon/hour at 70 Mtr head, shifting to workshop for repair, opening carefully, dismantling and overhauling complete parts, placing new packing sheet, cleaning of all parts by kerosene oil neatly with and including replacement of defective spare parts by new parts of same make, necessary welding machine/grinding work if required at the time of reffiting of spare parts into pump set, reshifting and refixing on base plate with proper alignment with motor and testing on full discharge complete all as specified & directed. Note:- Spare parts required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately as 'Supply only' under respective items).

Disconnecting and taking down unserviceable electric motor of capacity 40 HP 2900 RPM, 3 phase from base frame and shifting to workshop for rewinding, opening complete, taking out Rotor assembly from stator carefully and removing burnt winding wire from stator, repairing to damage slots, including M & L for Rewinding of stator with super enameled copper wire of gauge same as original & varnishing the same drying tapping with cotton tapes, all electrical connections shall be soldered properly, reassembling, reshifting & reinstallation at site including testing at full load complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation of pump or flooring etc. finished fair and even all as specified and directed.

Manning, operation & maintenance of 440 Cum/day STP based on fluidized aerobic reactor technology strictly as per SOP issued by OEM ( M/S Thermax) installed at 'Anarwala' by employing trained/ qualified man power with adequate working experience as described below:

Notes: (a) Maintenace & operation of centrifugal motors/ pumps set, compressors, stand by DG set, sewage pumps, vavles including routine maintenance of machinery, servicing, cleaning & changing, repair/ renewal/replacement of defective parts, by providing specialist trades men to ensure 100 % serviceability of the plant round the clock, adding chemicals, maintaining record of consumables, collection of fuel / chemical etc and cleaning of areas, gardening, sweeping of areas, toilet as per direction of EIC.

(b) The STP shall be operated with one No FGM in each shift, ITI qualified in relevant trade with minimum 5 years experience in the M&O of STP, for two shifts in a day including sundays and holidays. (i) First shift: 06.00 to 14.00 hrs (ii) Second shift: 14.00 to 22.00 hrs

(c) Operator shall be responsible for proper recording of all operating parameters in the prescribed log book/ register all as directed.

(d) Operator will be responsible for timely collection of chemicals, POL, Engine oil from MES store yard as and when required.

(e) The work includes cleaning of pump house, maintaining of pump house premises as per direction of EIC. The contractor shall be responsible for the complete security of the plant including necessary watch and ward, maintenance of garden lawn etc.

Taking down old unserviceable single phase preventer and S&F new single phase preventer (SPP) capable to cut off low/high voltages, complete all as specified & directed. Make :- Minilec/or equivalent as approved by GE.

Dismantling and taking out old unserviceable pressure gauge any type and S&F new water pressure gauge glycerin filled of size 100 mm 0-7 kg/cm2 complete all as specified & directed. Make: H-Guru/Pascal/FIBEG

Draining out water from fluidized aerobic bed- 2 Nos of size 4.7 x3.65 x 3.5 meters manually or mechanically taking out existing FAB MEDIA and stacking it carefully at STP complex, scrapping, brooming, cleaning, of aerobic bed inside walls and bottom by steel wire brushes and other means to remove fungus, scales, dirt, sludge etc., taking out sludge from inside of tank and removing out side of MOD area for disposal, cleaning of filter pipes including replacement of filters where ever required, cleaning & testing of compress air pipe system and carrying out minor repairs wherever required and washing the tank inside with water and chemicals such as bleaching powder, caustic soda etc, draining out water and applying one coat of black enamel paint on internal surface and one coat of white wash on external surface of the tank, writing date of cleaning in white capital letters with sythetic enamel paint on black back ground, size of letters 80 x 10mm including washing FAB MEDIA properly using fresh water & Lime & bleaching powder and refilling into tank as directed after proper cleaning of tank.

Draining of water from tube settler tanks - 2 Nos of size 4.7x3.3x 5.5 meters, manually or mechanically, cleaning /desludging of tube settler tanks by means of scrapping inside walls and bottom by steel brush to remove raw material and transport it to out side MOD land for disposal, cleaning/washing of interior surface of tank walls & bottom using bleaching powder and lime water and painting black enamel paint on internal surface, white washing on external surface of the tank. Note: The bacteria culture shall be kept seperately and shall not be removed along with sludge and same shall be refilled as specified and directed.

Cleaning/desludging of raw sewage under ground sump 5.6 x6.6 x 6 meters including screening chamber by closing main incoming manhole and pumping out raw sewage to nearest drain by using portable non clog pump set, cleaning of raw sewage sump manually or mechanically using special T&P such as movable sewage cleaning tanker, scrapping inside wall, and bottom by steel wire brush to remove raw material and transport it to out side the MOD land for disposal, thereafter cleaning/washing of interior surface of underground sump using high grade bleaching powder and lime mixed water and black enamel paint on internal surface of the tank complete all as specified & directed.

Draining out of water from chlorine contact tank & treated water supply tank of size 6 X6X 2.0 meters manually or mechanically, cleaning / washing by scrapping inside walls and bottom by steel wire brushes to remove raw materials and transport it to out side MOD land for disposal, cleaning, washing the interior surfaces of tank walls & bottom using high grade bleaching powder and lime mixed water and black enamel paint on internal surface, white washing on external surface of the tank

Periodical maintenance of filtration bed by removing all floating material, scrapping and taking out filter media mixed with sludge to a depth of 25 mm to 32 mm, cleaning wall from inside, taking out sludge and disposal out side MOD land, digging out filter media up to 150mm depth for increasing the porosity, leveling the media uniformly in filter bed and applying black enamel paint on internal surface above media, white washing on external surface of the tank. Note:- (i) Additional qty of FAB MEDIA and pea gravel required to be filled in addition to existing qty will be measured and paid separately.

Notes for item Nos.32.00 to 36.00 (a) The item shall include all type of scaffolding, supports, ladders, platforms etc. and safety equipments required for working in the foul conditions/sumps. (b) Surfaces of the tanks after washing and cleaning shall be got approved from the Engr-in-Charge before carring out further treatment. (c) Contractor shall provide take all precautionary measures and provde necessary tools, dresses, gears etc to the workmen required for working in foul conditions at his own cost and shall be resposible for any type of accident and mishappening. (c) Sludge shall be transported in closed containers/ trucks. (d) The tenderers are advised to visit the site to know the exact location, depth and condition of the sumps before quoting the rate.

Testing of sewage effluent at the inlet of raw sewage sump and equalization tank and out let of chlorine contract tank sampling and analysis to be carried out by NABL accredited authorized LAB as per IS - 3025 for essential parameters such as BOD/COD Note: Samples raw sewage at all three locations are to be collected by contractor in presence of rep of accepting officer every month & submitted result of the test completed all as specified as directed.

M&L for scraping of old dull paint from the surface properly and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint on a coat of red oxide primer on the following items:-

S&F in repair gun metal gate valve with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed to 50 mm bore including taking down / removing old unserviceable valve complete all as specified and directed. Make : Sant/Seiko

S&F in repair Rotational moulded poly-ethylene water storage tank, 3 layer & white colour (Cylindrical vertical with closed top) hoisted and fixed in position all as specified in SSR Part-I of capacity 1000 Ltrs with inlet & out let pipe 20mm, refixing existing float valve including disconnecting existing tank and setting aside. Make: Plasto/Sintex

M&L for MS work for valve chamber covers, made out of angle iron, MS sheet, handles, locking arrangement , drilling holes for spindles, including painting the surfaces with two coats og synthetic enament paint over a coat of red oxide primer and grouting in existing brick work all specified and directed by Engr-in-charge including dismantling existing, rusted, covers.

Disconnecting & taking out the existing nonfunctional Oil immersed star delta starter of any description, any capacity and in any position, 3 phase, 415 volts, 50 Hz suitable for AC supply submersible pump set upto 40 to 75 HP (MAKE : Jyoti) & strip opening of Star delta starter, taking out unserviceable/defective wiring & parts, cleaning and servicing complete including replacement of unserviceable parts, replacement of unserviceable wiring with new copper wire cable of existing size, reassembling, fixing in position, making connections and testing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Spares shall be paid for seperately.

Excavation in post holes (or similar holes) each n.exc 0.5 cum, getting out in soft/loose soil, returning , filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around in layers not exceeding 25 cm , watering and removing surplus soil to a distance n.exc 50 m and making good surface complete all as specified.

S&F steel work in trusses using MS pipe (square/ tabular), including gussets plates, cleats, base plate etc complete all as specified and directed including taking down existing trusses frame.

Taking down existing worn out MS roofing and S&F prepainted galvalume aluminium zinc coated GI based corrugated steel sheet 0.50 mm thick of an colour having tensile strengthn of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified and directed

Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft soil.

M&L for cement concrete 75mm thick type D2 1:4:8 (40 mm graded aggregate) in sub base to floors finished fair and even complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 (40 mm thick) using 20 mm graded aggregate for flooring finished even & smooth with using extra cement complete all as specifiwed and directed.

M&L for machine pressed pepolished , coloured, precast cement concrete interlocking paver block any shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 of 60mm thick , M-35 grade, laid over and including 50mm thick compacted sand filling and filling of joints with dry sand complete all as specified.

Supply of stable bleaching powder Grade – I conforming to IS-1065/1989 (IInd Revision) as amended upto date having available chlorine contents minimum 34% by mass and packed in 25 Kg polythene bag having double fold complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge and as per following specifications:- Bleaching powder (Calcium Hypo Chloride), Chlorine formula : Ca (OCl)2 Molecular weight : 142.96, Physical Appearance : white fine powder, Chlorine content :- 30 % ± 1%, Moisture : 0.5 % Max On heating at 10 ± 2°C it dose not lose more than 1/15 of available chlorine Passing through 1.7mm sieve : 99%

Supply of Alum Ferric Sulphate (Grade-4) (best quality as per sample) for purification of water (containing lead (as PB) 30 ppm max and arsenic 6ppm max) confirming to IS-299/2012 (Revised) as amended up-to-date complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note:- The Alumino Ferric Sulphate shall be supplied in superior quality Bricks (Slabs) as per IS specifications. Manufacturers Name/Trade Mark shall be engraved on each brick (slab) in addition to marking of relevant Clause of IS specification).
