Supply of Labour Supplying manpower round the clock (one person at each shift) for operation of Fire Pumps as per situation demands including deputation of semi-skilled required manpower. (i) Every labourers engaged with this work must be paid with minimum wages as laid down in the existing Labour Department order in vogue.]

Profit / Service Charges Total semi-skilled labour of all days for fire attendance including Service charges. all Days = 365 days x 3 = 1095 man days.

Checking: Once a month for intensive checking of all the pumps installed for Fire Fighting System including sequential operation of those pumps to check the performance of each pumps. Storage of Diesel to be checked & refilling to be done whenever necessary to ensure smooth operation of Diesel Engine Driven Pump during emergency. The job includes checking of all valves & other instruments installed inside the Pump House in presence of concerned PWD Officials. Mock Test of Fire Pumps both in AUTO & MANUAL operations to be conducted during this visit once a month & report of the test to be recorded at the registrar kept at Jr. Engineer’s Office (excluding rectification & rewinding of Electric Motor, Overhauling of Diesel Engine). During inspection of water network the vendor shall drain out water from risers & recharge it with set pressure after proper flushing. Inlet Valves of Hydrant Risers to be kept close after completion of flushing & recharging of water to avoid any accidental discharge of water. This job also includes inspection of Hydrant Network once a month & submit report to PWD Official for any leakage / damage of Hydrant / Landing Valves or any other types of valves & instruments for further course of action to ensure proper functionality of the Fire Protection System. [(i) The Bidder’s rate must be supported with sufficient back-up analysis.]

Supply of materials: Necessary rectification / repair / replacement to ensure proper functionality of the Fire Pumps. The scope also includes minor repair rectification of all types of valves such as replacement of worn out / damaged gasket with new one, replacement of damaged bolts & nuts with new one etc. (excluding major rectification such as replacement of damaged Hand Wheel, Flanges, Perforated Pipes, Pipe Supports, Valve Seat Rings etc.). [(i) The Bidder’s rate must be supported with sufficient back-up analysis.]
