Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paverfinisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achievethe desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Construction of dry lean cement concrete sub base over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS:383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per specifications, cement content not to be less than 150 Kg/cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, for all leads & lifts, laid with a mechanical paver, compacting with 8-10 tonne vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. complete as per direction of Engineerin-charge.
Providing and laying polythene sheet 400 micron thick confirming to IS -2508 anti -friction layer on the sub-base course with overlaps of not less than 75mm longitudinally and 75mm transveresely (only plan area is to be measured for payment) etc complete as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying Pavement Quality Concrete(PQC) produced in a batching plant (minimum capacity of 30 cum per hour) having a Characteristic Flexural Strength i.e. minimum flexural strength of 4.1 Mpa at 28 days using 350 Kg of Ordinary Portland Cement 43 grade, fine aggregate, graded stone aggregates of 40 mm nominal size in appropriate proportion as per specification and job mix formula, laid in panels as per drawing / design as approved by the Engineer-In-Charge using Fixed form paver including making necessary provision for expansion joint, curing, etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and particular specifications. The item for execution shall also include the following operations: i) Mechanically cutting dummy joints 3 mm wide X 1/3rd thickness of slab which is subsequently widened to 10 mm for the top 25 mm depth and construction joints 10 mm wide X 25 mm deep as per specification. ii) Filling Polysulphide sealant in dummy, construction and expansion joints including providing closed-cell Polyethylene foam back-up rod, and painting side of joints with Polysulphide primer, etc. complete (to be paid separately under item 17). Note: For the purpose of tendering, the quantity of cement used for one Cum. of finished concrete may be assumed as 350 Kg. If the actual quantity of cement required as per laboratory mix design varies from the quantity assumed above, necessary cost adjustment for deviation in the quantity of cement as per mix design, if any, shall be done as per the rate of cement in actual supply voucher from manufacturer/ authorized dealer at the time of execution. In the case of authorized distributor the rate may be authenticated by the manufacturer.
Providing and laying in position for expansion joint, 25mm thick pre-cut synthetic joint filler board of approved make conforming to IS: 1838 (part 3)-2011, 45 mm from top (to be removed at the time of filling of polysulphide sealant), complete as per particular specifications and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.(Note: Mode of measurement shall be length of joints multiplied by depth of filler board including precut portion.)
Providing and laying in position polysulphide sealant of approved make conforming to BS-5212-1990 or IS 11433-1995, in expansion / Construction / dummy joints including rounding off edges, applying 2 coats of approved primer compatible with the brand of polysulphide and preparing the surface and applying masking tape along the edge of joints to prevent accidental spillage of sealant on top surface and to give neat finish to the sealant and removing the masking tape after application of sealant etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge & particular specifications.[note : for purpose of payment, quantity (Length X Width X Depth) of Polysulphide sealant only will be measured. i) Expansion joints of size 25 mm wide and 10 mm deep over 30mm dia. Design, Manufacturing, supply, installation, connection, testing and commissioning of illuminated taxiway guidance signages of various sizes made of anodized 2 mm (nominal) thick extruded aluminium profile frame with suitable stiffening supports for structural rigifity, 1.5 mm thick aluminium back cover, 4 mm thick poly carbonate sheet with glare free face, supporting legs, breakable coupling etc. The letters and symbols shall be interally pasted/screen printed with with required coloring. The sign boards shall be uniformly interally illuminated with required number of LEDs strips to achieve required illumination level, alonwith drivers, interal control circuit, automatic changeover to function on both main & standby (runway/taxiway) cicuits etc and shall operate without any flickering when operated on input source of 2.8 Amps. to 6.6 amps. series current. The suitable arragement shall be made for water tightness and locking arrangement. the signages shall be installed on 1:2:4 grade cement concreteof size 400x400x500 mm for each leg and total base of 150 mm thick for the distance of 1.5 mtr. all around the board including installation of isolating transformer, crimping/ jointing of plug & receptacles, laying of secondary leads, connections, earthing etc. complete as required. the taxiway guidance signages shall be as per ICAO and conforming to technical specifications. ( legends shall be as approved by Engineer-in -charge).
