REPAIR TO SUB STATIONS EARTHING AND LT LIGHTENING PROTECTION AT VARIOUS E/M INSTALLATIONS AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE AF CHANDIGARH.

M&L in replacement for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mmx 600mm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5mtr below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, electrode connections using galvanised iron strip of size 25mm x 4mm thick (upto body of equipment) by means of bolts, nut check nuts and washers earth strip protected by galvanized steel pipe 40mm bore (medium grade) connected to test point all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR - 2009 (Part-I) and including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20mm bore medium grade GI pipe for watering, funnel with wire mesh, PCC (1:3:6), type C-1 chamber shall be constructed 500mm away from the edge of earth pit, pit cover of precast RCC (1;2:4), type B-1, 80mm thick reinforced XPM of weight not less than 4 Kg/ Sqm and MS frame etc. complete & connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including brazing/ testing on completion complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) The unit rate includes galvanised Iron strip and protection pipe upto (maximum 7.5 metre from earth plate) earth point/ test point. (ii) The complete earth system shall be guaranteed to give result less than 3 ohm resistance. In case the test result are not found below 3 ohm, complete earthing will be redone without any extra cost to Govt.

M&L for installation, testing and commissioning of chemical earthing complete with copper plate electrode of size 900mm x 600mm x 5mm thickness, buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 4 metre below normal ground level earth plate electrode connected to and including copper earthing lead strip 32x6 mm as main earthing lead by means of tinned copper/ brass bolts, nuts, check nuts and washer beside brazing at all joints as directed and earthing lead protected with 40 mm dia medium grade GI pipe from electrode and upto including the earth test point, 20 mm dia watering pipe medium grade GI including funnel, fire mesh, alternate layers of 150mm thickness each of charcoal, common salt, magnesium sulphate/ chemical and as per manufacturer's recommendation including below the copper electrode also and excavation in any type of soil, removal of surplus soil, PCC pit chamber in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate, RCC cover 50 mm thick in RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate reinforced with 8mm dia MS deformed bars @ 75 mm c/c both ways including MS angle iron frame of size 40mmx 40mmx3mm and including testing the earthing on completion, complete all as specified. The result of the earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohm and recorded results to be submitted to Engineer-in-Charge. Note - Old earthings are conventional type and schedule of credit has been accounted for accordingly.

Earthing complete with galvanised copper earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 3mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below ground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 Mtr below normal ground level, connected to copper earth lead strip 20mm x 3mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of GI or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated and testing on completion as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including necessary excavation & earth work in any type of soil, funnel, PCC chamber (1:3:6) type C-1, pit cover of precast RCC (1:1½:3) type A-1 using graded stone aggregate & reinforced with XPM weighing not less than 4 kg/ sqm and frame, charcoal, salt including earth lead protected by 40mm dia medium grade GI pipe and 20mm dia medium grade GI Pipe for watering including dismantling existing earthing complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Copper earth lead strip 20mm x 3mm and GI 40mm dia protection pipe upto 7.5 mtr length will be deemed to include in the unit rate quoted. Old earthing shall be conventional type and may have been burried down to a depth of exceeding 2.25m below ground level. No extra payment will be made if excavation is done beyond 2.25m depth to retrieve the old earthing.

Supply and fixing in replacement 25mm x 4mm GI strip earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batter or recess or chases or burried in ground of drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other situation as required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for replacement of aluminium strip 25mm x 3.15mm with saddles/ epoxy or porcelain insulators and fixing screws for roof conductor and down conductor above ground complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for replacement of copper strip 20mm x 3mm earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batter or recess or chases or burried in ground of drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other situation as required complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in replacement 12mm dia, 300mm long end termination aluminium rod fitted with rivets/ nuts & bolts complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for replacement of test point terminal block of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for replacement GI pipe 40mm bore medium grade for protection of GI strip complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Brazing / soldering on both side (overlapping) to the metal strip exc 2.5cm but n.exc 5cm in length and thickness of metal n.exc 6mm provided as earthing lead including dismantling old from the existing position/ equipment without disturbing the functional requirement and reconnected complete all as specified and directed.
