Schedule 'A'

Scarifying or picking, gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm with depth exc. 50 mm but not exc. 100 mm including removing materials from site of work or stacking for re-use at site complete all as specified and directed.

Screening road metals, chippings, etc on the site of work where specially ordered including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring complete all as specified and directed. (Material from both sides of screen measured)

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate of granite, trap or basalt of grading 2 (63mm to 40mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No.3.00 above but except materials complete all as specified and directed (Note:- Serviceable materials shall be obtained from item No. 2.00 here in before for re-use).

M&L for preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caded mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, providing evenly priming / tack coat with catonic emulsion (RS-1) @ 3.5Kg/ 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen Vg-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tone power roller complete all as specified and directed. NOTE : (i) No extra allowances shall be admissible to the contractor if the bitumen content is required more than 4% by the weight of total mix as per approved design and on minus side it will be recovered @ Rs. 50.00/kg of bitumen irrespective of any purchase price. The contractor shall quote the rate accordingly. (ii) Before carrying out bituminous macadam initial level final level both shall be taken and accordingly level sheet and level register shall be prepared. Level sheet shall be signed by the Engineer-in-Charge and contractor which shall be produced during technical check of RAR / Final Bill.

M&L for repairs to potholes of any depth n. exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust & mud etc, scoring sunken surfaces in road, path etc, cutting around edge to atleast 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic bitumen (Rs 1) @3.5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder & chippings, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note : SDAC will be provided measured and paid separately under relevant items.

M&L for preparing of existing black top surfaces of road and raw bituminous macadam surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or by air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with cationic bitumen (RS -1) @ 2.5Kg/per 10Sqm to receive Bituminous macadam and SDAC complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness (minimum) with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen Gde-VG-30 by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 10 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified in the relevant clauses of SSR Part-I (2009) and as directed. Note : (a) The actual binder contain used shall be as per optimised content based on approved Job mix formula irrespective of whatever indicated above. (b) Rate deemed to be included for making good of any undulation/damages in wearing surfaces, where semi dense asphaltic concrete to be laid. (c) Price adjustment shall be done on minus side (without permissible tolerance on minus side) with reference to binder content indicated above and actually to be used in the work. (d) Price adjustment for paving bitumen shall be done @ Rs. 50.00 per KG for any variation on minus side irrespective of actual purchase rate. However, no adjustment for variation on plus side will be made.

M&L for Continuous brick edging (sub class 'B' brick, old size, best quality locally availabe) with width equal to the width of the brick; laid dry on end vertically including demolition of old unserviceable brick edging complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 2.5mm thick painting to road surfaces as in lines, dashes, arrows, letters , zebra crossing etc on roads, pavements and like with thermoplastic road marking paint @ 5 kg/Sqm and applying glass beads @ 300 gms/Sqm over painted surfaces while the painted surfaces are hot by mechanical means including cleaning surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. (Note. The painting shall be carried out through mechanical appliances by the company's approved applicator).

S&F of dual direction road studs, cats eye of impact ABS plastic/polycarbonate studs 100x90 mm having colour (white, red, yellow) with plastic strip to a side fixed with adhesive/steel zink plated nails of dia 4mm and length 60mm to road by hammering including taking down old one if available).complete all as specified and as directed

M&L for surface dressing n.exc 15cm deep of loose / soft soil complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for forming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc. 30cm thick, watering, ramming / rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc, n exc. 1.5m high from base complete all as specified and as directed, (Note :- Compaction of earth filling is ordered to be carried out under optimum moisture condition to the specified percentage of standard procter density not less than 95%)
