Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. ( for pipe and pits) up to all depths and in all kinds of soils such as pick work, pick jumper work, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out of water, blasting in soft/ hard rock, chiseling/wedging out of rock where blasting is prohibited, in all leads and lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering and dewatering wherever required, stacking usable and unusable materials/ soils separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes, returning the usable soils in 15 cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil / unusable materials as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of un-metalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion of traffic, night signal boards, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lifts as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Providing laying jointing and testing of MSERW /SW welded poipe excluding the cost of bends complete of grade L-360 or x52,conforming to IS: 3183 asper diamensions weights and test pressures mentioned below in a random length of 4 to 7 mtrs. The butt welding is to be provided on each joint and welding of joints as per ID: 816-1965 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991. The welding of pipe to be done on joints in 3 to 5 layers to make the joint leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipe shall be conform to IS: 5822-1994 (Earth work in trenches to be measured and paid for separately). The pipe shall have outside coating as per AWWA specification as per C: 233-1978 followed by a floating coat of coatlar approximately 3/32" thick and rapping hessian cloth completely dipped in coatlar inside coating shall be of black bitumionous anti corrosive paint over base coat of primer as per AWWA specification C: 233-1978.
