OBLITERATION OF NON-STANDARD MARKING (AIMING POINT, TOUCH DOWN ZONE, DESIGNATION MARKING, PARKING BAY MARKING IN ATS DISPERSAL) IN TECH AREA AT AFS PHALODI

M&L for Removal of painting (with or without rubber deposits) on runway surfaces, airfield pavement (rigid/ flexible) using non intrustive high pressure water and vaccum suction machine as the rubber removal machine shall be SH8000, SH5000 & SH3000 as approved by GE and depositing off debris at a place where directed and complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for cleaning the surface by brushing wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with compressor air blower (50 to 90 PSI) to remove all loose dust and dirt etc/taking out dust/existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and applying two coats of Polymeric Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution uniformly or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping of total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm undiluted in two coats in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish complete all all specified and as directed. Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the item (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of polymer modified emulsion(PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (ii) Minus price adjustment as pro-rata of quoted rate for min 1.0 litre/Sqm in two coats shall be made, if less quantity of PME as per manufacturer's instructions and subsequently approved by GE is used in work. (iii) The work shall be carried out through authorised & registered applicater of the manufacturerer. (iv) A preformance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the completion of the works as specified. (v) PME must have penetration value of 10-20 mm and initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (vi) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks with 6mm to 2.36 mm size coarse sand as per manufacturer’s instructions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (vii) Cost of trial patch 15m x 15m deemed to be included in rates quoted for above item.

M & L for preparation of existing painted/unpainted surfaces on Runway, PTT, Links, ORPs, Trg Helipad, N & S loop (painting lines, dashes, arrows, threshold, touchdown point, degination letters etc) of pavements with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI, coir, wire brushes to remove all loose dirt, dust, grease spots or any foreign materials etc, over 10 cm in width or girth and applying two coat of water based (water thinable) acrylic road marking paint (Black/white/golden yellow) as per Colour codes (Golden Yellow ISC 356, Traffic white RAL 9016, Pasteal Orange RAL 2003 & Graphite Black Ral 5004) the approved shade and pattern with black colour, border strips on either sides of other colours marking, complete all as specified and directed. Note :-(i) The Black strips on either side of other colour paint line, arrows letter, dashes shall be measured combined width wise for the purpose of calculating the area of painting. (ii) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of masking tape to protect pavement surface for spilled out of paint and removal & disposal of the same from MOD land. (iii) Site availability shall be as per User's /site requirement. (iv) Rate including from any aircraft coming and stoppage of work in a day. (v) New marking for Runway painting shall be carried out by Total station survey.

M & L for preparation of existing painted/unpainted surfaces ATC Dispersal, HU dispersal, North dispersal, wind sock poles, wind sock plinth etc (painting lines, dashes, arrows, degination letters etc) of pavements with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI, coir, wire brushes to remove all loose dirt, dust, grease spots or any foreign materials etc,old concrete surfaces of any description over 10cm girth or width not otherwise described and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed. Note :-(i) The Black strips on either side of other colour paint line, arrows letter, dashes shall be measured combined width wise for the purpose of calculating the area of painting. (ii) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of masking tape to protect pavement surface for spilled out of paint and removal & disposal of the same from MOD land. (iii) Site availability shall be as per User's /site requirement. (iv) Rate including from any aircraft coming and stoppage of work in a day. (v) New marking for Runway painting shall be carried out by Total station survey. Note :- No claim shall be made by contractor for above Sr Item No 1 to 4 for Site availability as per User's /site requirement and stoppage of work due to any aircraft coming and stoppage of work in a day. The rates shall be deemed to be included in the respective items.
