| 0GENERAL NOTES: 1) Debris generated from this work shall be disposed off by the contractor outside departmental premises by mechanical transport etc. without any extra cost to the department and/or as instructed by Engineer-In-Charge. During execution of work Contractor should maintain proper safety measures and provide proper insurance coverage to all work men to be engaged in this work. Contractor should quote rates accordingly. Disposal of rubbish/debris to be carried out periodic basis (i.e. once in month or as & when instructed by EIC.) (2) Bidders must visit the site before submission of tender. (3) Above mentioned work will be executed at Bidhannagar campus of VECC. Bidders are requested to quote rates accordingly. (4) Rate of each item shall include the cost of manpower, materials, tools & tackles, scaffolding etc. at all level. ( 5) Contractor has to be very careful so that no nuisance is created or users are not disturbed during execution of the work. Labours engaged should be well behaved/good mannered. (6) Security regulation and rules of DAE shall be strictly followed during deployment of materials and work force. The work should be done satisfying all safety aspects and insurance coverage for all workers to be involved in this job is a mandatory requirement and contractor should quote rates accordingly. PPE’s (such as safety shoe, helmet with chin strap, safety belts, safety goggles, safety shoes, welding shields, gloves, vici wear etc.) are compulsory for all workers. (7) A copy of challan of each lot of materials brought at site shall be handed over to the department as soon as materials brought into site. Test certificate of materials shall be submitted as desired. (8) Testing of materials as directed to be done as per requirement and charges if any shall be borne by the contractor without any extra cost to the department. (9) Time schedule as mentioned in NIT shall be strictly adhered to. The work should be carried out even on extended time period if required and for that special permission has to be obtained from competent authority. (10) Wherever cement based repair work will be undertaken, SSD (Surface Saturated Dry) condition must be achieved. (11) Plaster on repaired surface shall match with existing surface. Only OPC or PPC can be used for repair work. (12) All sand to be used for this job should be coarse sand duly screened unless specifically mentioned. (13) Area for removal of plaster for repairing, shall be of rectangular in shape or any regular geometrical shape. (14) Painting work shall be under taken at least after seven days of completion of any kind of repairing work (15) All latex will be used as SBR latex. Use of construction chemicals of same manufacturer preferred, otherwise compatibility is to be ensured. (16) Samples shall be got approved by the department before mass procurement and fabrication. | |||||
