Engaging Essential services to 464 Slum Tenements at Perumpallam odai for a period from 25.08.2026 to 30.09.2026

Engaging Sweeper and Scavenger - 1 No- (Mazdoor Grade II - Excluding Govt Holidays ) Two times a Week - Responsible for the comprehensive cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the scheme premises; specifically, the Sweeper shall maintain all common areas—including corridors, staircases, lobbies, terraces, roads, pathways, parking areas, open spaces, and other common facilities by sweeping, waste collection and disposal, dust, debris, and cobweb removal, clearing unwanted vegetation, bushes, and weeds, and ensuring the surroundings remain safe, hygienic, and presentable as directed by departmental officers, while the Scavenger shall clean and maintain gullies, inspection chambers, sewer lines, manholes, screen wells, and other drainage installations, promptly clearing any blockages, overflows, or obstructions to ensure smooth functioning and proper sanitation, with the understanding that any necessary maintenance materials shall be supplied by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, and the contractor shall arrange all required labour, tools, and equipment to execute the work.

Engaging Lift Operator- 5 Nos- (Mazdoor Grade II - Excluding Govt Holidays ) is responsible to regulate lift operations, assist passengers whenever required, and prevent misuse or unauthorized use of the lifts. The Lift Operator shall promptly attend to emergency situations arising from power failures, mechanical breakdowns or lift malfunctions and shall coordinate with the concerned maintenance personnel for safe rescue of passengers trapped inside the lift car. The operator shall also maintain cleanliness of lift cabins and surrounding areas, attend to intercom or emergency communication systems connected to the lifts, and report any defects, abnormal functioning or safety concerns to the departmental officers without delay. The Lift Operator shall ensure that the lifts are operated safely and maintained in a serviceable condition throughout the contract period, as directed by the departmental officers.

Engaging Watchman - 3 Nos (Mazdoor Grade II - Excluding Govt Holidays) to provide round-the-clock security and watch and ward services for the entire scheme premises and shall be responsible for safeguarding all Tamil Nadu Housing Board properties, installations and equipment, including pumpsets, generators, electrical installations, common lighting systems, lifts, water supply systems, fire-fighting equipment and other common assets. The duties shall include regulating and monitoring the entry and exit of residents, visitors, service personnel and vehicles; preventing unauthorized access into the premises; maintaining visitor and vehicle movement registers; patrolling the blocks, common areas, parking areas and open spaces during day and night; reporting suspicious activities, theft, vandalism or security breaches to the departmental officers; and taking immediate action during emergencies. The personnel shall assist in maintaining order within the scheme premises, facilitate emergency services such as fire, police and ambulance personnel whenever required, and provide necessary assistance to residents and departmental officers during emergencies, public gatherings or unforeseen incidents. The Watchman shall remain vigilant at all times, promptly communicate important incidents to the concerned authorities, and ensure proper security and protection of TNHB properties and common facilities throughout the contract period.

Engaging Pump operator and water supply arranfgements - 1 No (Mazdoor Grade II -Excluding Govt Holidays) to operate the pumpsets for lifting water from borewells/wells to sumps and from sumps to Tanks , regulate water distribution to all flats without interruption, and perform duties as instructed by the departmental officers . He shall attend to day-to-day maintenance of water supply systems, including pipelines, pumpsets, valves, sumps and Storage tanks. The operator shall carry out removal, refixing and minor maintenance of pumpsets using the required tools and equipment, confirming to standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.
