Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation,grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and treesgirth up to 300 mm, removal of stumpsof trees cut earlier and disposal ofunserviceable materials and stacking ofserviceable material to be used orauctioned, up to a lead of 1000 metres including removal and disposal of toporganic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness. (Reference to MoRT&H'sspecification clause 201) By Mechanical Means

Maintenance of Earth Shoulder (stripping excess soil): Stripping excess soil from the shoulder surface to achieve the approved level and compacting withplate compactor as per the requirement of MORT&H's specification 3003. Note:- The earth stripped from earthen shoulders to be dumped on the side slopes locally for disposal.

(A) Restoration of Rain Cuts:Restoration of rain cuts with soil, moorum, gravel or a mixture of these, clearing the loose soil, benching for 300 mm width and extending continuously for a sufficient length and height of benches shall be in the range of 150-300mm. Fresh material shall be deposited in layers not exceeding 250 mm and compacting with plate compactor or power rammers or by suitable implements handled manually to restore the original alignment, levels and slopes as per the requiremnt of MORT&H's specification 3002.
