Excavation in foundation and trenches (for pipes and pits) up to all depths and in all classification of earth work such as Pick work, Jumper work, chiselling or wedging out of soft and hard rock as blasting is prohibited, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out of water, in all lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, levelling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting , planking, timbering and dewatering where ever required. Stacking usable and unusable material /soil seperataly and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes (for pipes, Pipe duct, chambers, x-sings etc.), returning the usable soil in 15cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil/ unusable material as directed within all leads/ lifts including restoration of unmetalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion for traffic, night signal boards, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lifts as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Laying , jointing & testing of Screwed and Socketted Galvanised Mild Steel tube ( light class) of approved Rate contract of DGS&D/HP Government conforming to BIS 1239-1990 (Part-II) of following diameter including all tube fittings as required as per actual site of work within all leads and lifts , as per the direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.( Earth work in trenches to be measured and paid for seperately) 20mm dia (L)

Laying, jointing & testing of GMS pipe (plain ended pipe) with circumfrential butt welded joints by electrical arc welding with minimum two layers capable to withstand required test pressure (minimum welding thickness shall be equal to pipe wall thickness) including manufacturing and fabrication of reducers/ tapers, all short pieces, bends of required degrees as per site requirement made from parent tubes. The laying of pipe shall also include intermediate flanged joints spaced at an interval of 15 pipe lengths or where ever required as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge duly welded in three layers (two for outer & one on inner side) and all other operations such as cutting, welding, jointing, fabrication of bends, tees etc , lowering and laying in excavated trench to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects & to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge (Earth work in trenches and the cost of providing flanges i/c nut & bolts, gasket will be measured and paid for separately).The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The welding electrodes shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/ L&T or ISI marked make. The damaged portion of the pipes and all the specials ( If damaged during laying & jointing operation of pipe) made form the parent tube shall be provided anticorrosive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paint over a priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978. The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing, D.P. test of butt welded joints complete in all respect and to the best satisfaction & direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts.50 mm Dia (M)

Providing MS flanges in pairs conforming to BIS 6392-1971 ( latest with up to date amendments) for the joints of MSERW pipes of flange Table & diametre mentioned as below including the cost of nuts and bolts of required sizes, 3mm thick compressed asbestos fiber/synthetic rubber gaskets conforming to relevant BIS standards and it shall also include carriage of materials within all leads and lifts complete in all respect to the best satisfaction and direction of Engineer in charge, The cost of laying, jointing and welding shall be paid in item No-..6. of BOQ for flanged joint.
