LAND AND MARINE GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION AT PRATAPUR, PARADIP, ODISHA

1. Mobilisation: Mobilisation of Jackup patform/Pontoons/ marine crafts / Boats/ Staging patform/and all related accessories/ Soil Boring/ drilling rigs including all its accessories, field/insitu Soil test equipment and all its accessories for carrying out Soil Investigation in all types of Soil , suitable survey vessel and Survey equipment’s and its accessories at site for identifying borehole positions, taking levels and coordinates before commencement of drilling/boring etc including tripod, pulley, winches, hydraulic power pack, pumps, drilling accessories, generator, safety provisions, taxes, permissions and approvals, men and material, consumables including all.

2. De -mobilisation : De -mobilisation of Jackup patform/Pontoons/ marine spreads / Boats/ Staging patform/and all related accessories/ Soil Boring/ drilling rigs including all its accessories, field/insitu Soil test equipment and all its accessories for carrying out Soil Investigation in all types of Soil , survey vessel, survey equipment’s and its accessories at site for identifying borehole positions, taking levels and coordinates before commencement of drilling/boring etc including tripod, pulley, winches, hydraulic power pack, pumps, drilling accessories, generator, safety provisions, taxes, permissions and approvals, men and material, consumables including all.

3. LAND BOREHOLES - 10 Nos

3 (a) Shifting and positioning of drilling equipment along with all accessories from one Borehole location to another including assembly and erecting the rig at location, includes equipment etc all complete

3 (b) Drilling 150mm (6”) diameter vertical boreholes in offshore in all types of soils other than rock up to a depth of 20m CD below exisitng ground level (BGL) or upto a hard surface where SPT N values are shown Refusal successively two times, whichever is earlier. Collecting SPT and UDS samples by following IS codal provisions at specified intervals by using casing, rods, pipes, etc and storing in one litr / kg /glass/plastic jars at site serially depthwise, and transporting the same to laboratory immediately for conducting the relevant tests. Samples shall be logged with information such as bore hole no, date of collection, area, bed levels, coordinates etc, and as directed by Engineer in charge, which includes all labour and materials etc.

3 (c) Conducting Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and collecting disturbed Soil sample as per IS code of practice in all bore holes at 1.5 m interval upto a depth of 20m CD or upto a hard surface where SPT N values are shown Refusal successively two times, till the termination depth, whichever is earlier. Collecting disturbed soil samples from SPT samplers, furnishing the field test results, packing, preserving, transporting to the laboratory immediately etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer which includes all labour, tools, and plants. Note: During advancement /drilling of boreholes, incase, Sand layer is encountered and continuing below 5m, drilling shall be continued below 5m with SPTs/UDSs with 1m interval. In this regard the termination of borehole shall 10m or till encountering of sand layer, whichever is earlier.

3 (d) Collecting 100mm diameter Undisturbed Samples in cohesive layers at 1.5m interval or wherever the cohesive strata is encountered. by conforming the specifications as per tender and IS codes of practice at site, and preservation of samples etc., and as directed by the Engineer including all labour, tools, and plants

4. MARINE BOREHOLES - SAND TRAP AREA - 14 Nos

4 (a) Shifting and positioning of Jackup barge/Jackup patform from one Borehole location to another including assembly and erecting the rig at location, mooring the craft, includes equipment etc all complete

4 (b) Shifting and positioning of floating pontoon / Marine crafts from one Borehole location to another including assembly and erecting rig at location, mooring the craft, includes equipment etc all complete

4 (c) Shifting and positioning the staging platform from one Borehole location to another including assembly and erecting the rig at location, mooring the craft, includes equipment etc all complete

6. CONDUCTING LABORATORY TESTS Conducting Laboratory tests as per relevant IS codes of practice on the test samples collected in field, furnishing the test results, etc., complete as directed by the Engineer all includes

(a) Sieve Analysis / Hydrometer analysis and preparation of GSA curves

(b) Natural Moisture content

(c) Bulk density

(d) Relative density

(e) Specific gravity

(f) Consolidation tests

(g) Strength tests ( Triaxial tests / Direct shear)

(h) Chemical analysis on Soil for chloride, Sulphate and pH

7. SUBMISSION OF REPORTS

7 (a) DRAFT REPORT - Preparation and Submission of DRAFT report of geotechnical investigation after analysis, processing and compilation of field and laboratory data/ results and report shall consist of field photographs, field investigation data, laboratory test results, soil sectional profiles, no of layers encountered, recommendations etc including all except GST. The recommendations specifically with layers encountered along with percentages of sand, silt and clay and dredgeability recommendations. 6 hard and 3 soft copies - original

7 (b) FINAL REPORT - After taking in to the observations of Employer and concerned, and by including the clarifications and Preparing and Submission of FINAL report of geotechnical investigation after analysis, processing and compilation of field and laboratory data/ results and report shall consist of field photographs, field investigation data, laboratory test results, soil sectional profiles, no of layers encountered, recommendations etc including all except GST. The recommendations specifically with layers encountered along with percentages of sand, silt and clay and dredgability recommendations. 6 hard and soft copies -original
