Providing horizontal spindle horizontal split casing/end suctions (back pull out arrangement) single/double/ multistages centrifugal pump of Mather & Platt/ KSB/ Kirloskar make as per BIS-1520-1980 with upto date ammendments, read with IS: 9137-1978 or latest edition suitable for lifting Clear water for under mentioned characterstics with bronze impellers/priming funnels, casing ring and shaft sleaves of bronze, shaft of steel grade EN-8 with cast iron casing coupled directly through a flexible coupling on a MS/Cast steel base plate ( base plate to be from the manufacturers of the pumping unit only) to Squarrel type drip proof induction motor of standard make such as Kirloskar/Crompton/NGEF and suitable for operation on 400 (+)/-) 10% volts, 50 cycle/second, 3 phase AC electric supply. The power of electric motor should be atleast 10% in excess of the maximum power required by the pump in the operation range of (+) 10% and (-) 15% of the duty point head. The motor should be as per IS: 325-1978 with upto date ammendments read with IS: 900-1972. It sho etc. and should include cost of bearing nuts, bolts and pointing etc. and should meet the following requirements. "Please refer to DATA SHEET for items No. 1.01 to 9.00."
Rising main. Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. ( for pipe and pits) up to all depths and in all kinds of soils such as pick work, pick jumper work, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out of water, blasting in soft/ hard rock, chiseling/wedging out of rock where blasting is prohibited, in all leads and lifts including trimming and dressing of sides, leveling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering and dewatering wherever required, stacking usable and unusable materials/ soils separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes, returning the usable soils in 15 cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil / unusable materials as directed within all leads and lifts including restoration of un-metalled surfaces to its original condition and including cost of diversion of traffic, night signal boards, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lifts as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
Laying jointing and testingof GMS pipe jointed with 5% joint flanged and remaining butt weld joint of below dia mtrincluding the cost of bends) complete as per IS:1239-1996 (Part-I) as per dimensions, weights and test pressures mentioned below in a random length of 4 to 7 mtrs. The bult weldedjoints and MS flanges are to be provided on each joint asper table given below conforming to IS: 6392-1971 and welding of flanges with electrodes as per relevent codes including required number and size of nuts and bolts asper relevants codes and asbestos fibre jointing gasket sheet not less than 3mm thickness as per relevant codes. The welding of flanged to be done on both faces in requisite layers to make the joints leak proof and to the enire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The laying of pipe should be conforming to IS: 5822-1994. (Earth work in treches flanged joints and butt weld joint to be measured and paid for separately).

Providing and welding of MS flanges at suitable points conformg to followingtable asper IS 6392-1971 latest with upto date amendements with a plain end GMS/MSERW pipein requiste number of layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof (the cost of laying of GMS/ MSERW pipe to be measured and paid for separately) the welding of flangesshould conform to IS: 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS:814-1991 and required nuts and bolts conforming to IS: 1364 including the cost of gasket sheet not less than 3mm conforming to IS: 2712-1998, the work shall be done to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing circumferential butt welded joints by electrical arc welding of GMS pipe Medium/ Heavy class welded in requiste number of weld runs so as to achieve the minimum effective throat thickness of weld conforming to IS: 816-1969 specifications by using welding electrodes of 2.5mm to 6.3mm of Advani Orelon (Adore)-CITOJET/ESAB make, conforming to IS: 814-1991 at site of work complete in all respect, including manual/ mechanical handling of pipe in all leads and lifts and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.
