Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep and area not exceeding 400 sqm all as specified and directed.

Water bound macaadam 100mm thick (Compacted thickness) laid in single layer with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size or of grading 3 (90 mm to 40 mm size) using granite, trap or basalt stone of best quality locally available spread and rolled with 10 to 12 tonnes power roller, each layer will be consolidated separately and to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at 10 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (VG-30) content by weight of total mix using Stone aggregate as per design mix formula for semi dense asphaltic concrete rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 10 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-10) at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (VG-30) content by weight of total mix using Stone aggregate as per design mix formula for semi dense asphaltic concrete rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note for Serial Item No 3 & 4:- Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller. Paving bitumen shall not be issued under Sch 'B'.

Premix bituminous macadam with paving bitumen (Grade VG-30) @ 4% by weight of total mix, laid/ rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and directed.

Marking lines, dashes, arrows etc of width 10 cms on black top/ concrete surfaces of road using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint 2.5 mm thick (white/ gold, yellow) mixed with radium glass beads @ 250gm/ Sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision (approx temp being 200°C at the time of laying) including cleaning the new/old road surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign material complete all as per all as per MOST clause 803.4 and BS 6068 and as directed. Note:- Road marking lines at the centre of road shall not be continuous, whereas the lines at outer sides of road shall be continuous i.e in one length.

CAT Eyes of temperature resistance polycarbonate body with scratch and abrasion resistant micro prizmatic polycarbonate lense, ultrasonically welded with yellow colour body and dark yellow lenses, fixed on road surface by applying approximately 100 grams of apoxy mixture and placing the CAT eyes without applying excessive pressure and additionally fixed with shanks bu drilling holes in centre of CAT Eyes and fixed firmly. Make:- As per Appendix C.
