Fabrication, providing, handling, laying, installation and testing of 200mm Nominal Diameter 4.5mm thick ERW ISI-mark mild steel pipes for rising main at LIS Dangiwacha. As per the technical specifications as under: S.No. Details Requirement 1 Nominal Diameter = 200 mm 1A Outside Diameter = 219.1 mm (Table 5 of IS 3589) 2. Thickness = 4.5 mm 3. Length of the pipe = Pipe shall be in single random length from 4 to 7 meter as per Clause 12.4.1 of IS 3589 4. Type of welding = ERW 5. Quality of MS plate to be used for manufacture = As per IS 2062 (FC 410). 6. Pipe to be manufactured = As per IS 3589 having one longitudinal joint with latest amendments 7. Hydraulic test pressure = As per 10.1 of IS 3589 8. Working pressure = 1.0 kg/cm2 9. End preparation = As per 17.1 of IS 3589 where V-groove is to be made by grinding edges of the pipe 10. Make = Prakash Surya/ Jindal/ SAIL/ Tata 12. Type of welding to be used for joining pipes = DC arc welding 13. Tolerances = As per clause 12.3 of IS:3589 Installation Installation of the pipe includes carrying of these pipes from manufacturing place to the site of installation which involves loading/ unloading at respective sites. External surface of pipes to be painted with two coats of steel primer and black japan paint in two coats. The mild steel pipe line shall be laid as per contour/ layout plan defined by the department “Under Ground/Above Ground” as per site requirement. The underground installation of the pipe line includes excavation of the earth in trenches by 0.75 Mtr. X 1.0 Mtrs. depth. Pipes are to be welded Circumferentially end to end in 2-3 runs in addition to the root filling of the V-grooves using high quality welding electrodes of Ador/ Orlikon/ ESAB make and making the joints absolutely leak proof. Any excessive welding material is to be grinded by grinding wheel for even finish. The welding joints thus formed shall withstand the working pressure. The bends/ offsets wherever necessary shall be fabricated by the contractor out of the supplied pipe within quoted price. The saddle blocks, etc for the rising main wherever required shall be laid by Civil counterpart. The pipe laying shall include road cutting of the main metalled road where required and arrangements of all tools and tackles like tripod stand, lifting/ pulling machines, welding machine, electrical generator etc. required for handling/ laying/ joining any other activity for completion of job shall have to be arranged by the firm. However, road cut charges payable to R&B shall be borne by the department. Third party inspection charges shall be reimbursed to the firm by the department.

Complete dismantling of existed old 200mm (125Mts approx..) long Ms rising main. The job includes removing of nuts bolts at flanges, cutting of rusted bolts where ever required by using gas cutter, transportation of pipe to loading site by manual means at the lead of 70 mtrs. Loading of pipe at site then transportation to the sub divisional store Baramulla. the job includes unloading at store and staking of same.
