General Notes: 1) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. The make/model/brand mentioned in Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document is merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V). 2) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone manufactured sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete. 5) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor.

7) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 8) The quoted rates shall include necessary taxes, royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials. 9) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed. 10)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 11) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost to BARC. 12) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills. 13) All dismantel items shall be handed over to BARC(V) in good condition. 14) All transport for men and materials inside BARC main campus and Anu Vihar shall be in the scope of contractor.

The following shall be provided by the contractor at site during the entire contract period for operation of the all BOQ items for which no seperate payment will be made. Contractor has to quote the rates for all BOQ items accordingly. 1. Wheel barrows 2. One two wheeler bike 3. Suitable ladders 4. Ropes 5. Chain Pulley 6. Tripod 7. Any other necessary power tools and tackles

PCC, RCC & FORM WORK Note: 1) Rates quoted for PCC & RCC items shall include cost of sieved river sand/ crushed stone sand as fine aggregate and graded hard broken granite metal as a coarse aggregate. 2) The mix shall be desiged to maintain the desired slump (as required at site/specified in IS code). In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, admixtures (corboxalite based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for the items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 3) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of Self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the manufacture of concrete. 4) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring. 8) This item is applicable for all PCC and RCC structural elements like footings, beams, columns, slabs, lintels, chajjas, walls etc., for all heights and leads. 9) Only steel scaffolding, staging, supporting system to the formwork and steel frame work will have to be used for all RCC structural elements. 10) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chiseling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar at no extra payment. 11) Form finish F3 shall be provided to all exposed surfaces of the concrete.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 river Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm) at all elevations including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including the cost of form work shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 crushed sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20 mm) including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specification and drawings including the cost of Formwork shuttering, centering and steel reinforcement at all Level.

Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade using min. 390 kg of cement for 1 cum of finished concrete at all heights by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved and quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Note: Temparature raised due to heat of hydration shall be kept within limits in raft/mass concrete by keeping proper curing mechanism.

Notes for Reinforcement steel: 1) 1.2mm dia annealed binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. 2) Fe-500D / Fe-500EQR bars as per IS 1786 latest code to be supplied by the contractor. 3) Reinforcement bars from conversion agents / re-rollers of above manufacturers, will not be accepted. 4) No extra payment will be made on account of Rolling Margin & wastage. 5) Contractor shall supply copy of the documentry evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from these manufacturers and also test from third party to be carried out at no extra cost. 6)Reinforcement steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department.

Providing Reinforcement steel of all diameters for reinforced cement concrete at all levels. including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, hoisting ,transporting to all elevations, placing and keeping in positions, all leads, fixing, tieing with 1.2 mm dia annealed binding wire including all labour charges, cost of cover blocks (in same grade of concrete) of various thicknesses and sizes etc. all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Using TMT Bars of Specified Grades of all sizes.

Notes for Sturctural steel 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department. 2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. 3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 4) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. 5) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 6) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 7) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.

Providing Structural steel work Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted including in built up sections for columns, beams, trusses, structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, drilling, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of zinc chromate steel primer. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing, supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting and fixing in position structural steel members for gates, hand rails etc. using MS hollow circular / square / rectangular sections along with the associated connections including applying a coat of primer using redoxide before and after erection and two coats of first quality anticorrosive polyurethene paint all as per Technical specifications, drawings, complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing at all levels MS bolts including nuts and washers of approved size & quality as per requirements and as per specifications, drawings complete all as directed at siteby the Engineer in charge.

Providing and fixing precoated Galvalume Roofing profile sheets of approved size, shape and pitch up to and including 0.5mm thickness sheet. The sheet shall be fixed using self drilling / self tapping screws of size (5.5 X 55 mm) with EPDM seal complete upto any pitch in horizontal / vertical or curved surfaces excluding the cost of purlins, rafters and trusses and including ridges,cutting to size and shape wherever required as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed) thick masonry at all elevations with approved quality Fly ash/ FAL-G bricks (confirming to IS 12894) having minimum crushing strength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm and water absorption of maximum 20%, in cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 river sand/m-sand) crushed stone manufactured sand) uniformly mixed in machine in specified courses of approved bond complete including pointing, raking out joints, curing, cleaning, including independent double legged scaffolding, at all heights, depths and leads, dewatering area where required etc., all as per typical drawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. including all leads and lifts etc. Note for flyash bricks: In the fly ash bricks the mix confirming to the strength mentioned in the respective items shall be got approved by the department. The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20%(preferably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source approved by the department. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing. No holes in brickwall will be allowed for scaffolding. Only double tubular steel scaffolding be allowed.

Providing 15 mm thick Plastering in cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished smooth, including sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of the surface, double steel tubular scaffolding, curing all as per specifications, drawings and as directed at site etc. complete all as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. including all leads and lifts

FLOORING WORKS NOTES: The contractor shall submit all samples to the department for approval and no work shall commence before such samples are duly approved.

Providing and fixing Glazed VITRIFIED tiles of size 600mmx600mmX8mm/600mmX300mmX8mm approved in different sizes conforming to IS 15622 in all colours and shades in Glossy or Matt or satin finish laid over a bed of minimum 20 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (using Crushed sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry including grouting with the joints with white cement based Tile Grout of approved and matching shade complete as per patterns, drawings and specifications complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and Fixing Homogeneous 2.00 mm thick PVC sheet / tile in flooring and skirting in approved pattern on a smooth and damp proof base using rubber based adhesive of approved quality and manufacturer including, levelling small undulations with plasterof paris if required , rolling with light wooden roller weighing about 5 kg all complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge in approved colour and shade

Providing and Laying Minimum 25 mm thick uniform shade Kotah or as approved stone for treads and risers of steps, skirting,window sills in single length up to 2.00 metres length slab dado and pillars laid on 12 mm thick (average) cement mortar 1:3 (using crushed sand) and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slabs, including rubbing and polishing to obtain mirror finish complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Providing and fixing 17mm thick machine cut, mirror polished approved Granite stone/equivalent approved range and shade granite stone of approved colour and pattern for Risers and trades /Frames/Architraves/soffits/Jambs/Sills/Urinal partitions etc. of required sizes as shown in drawing or directed by the Engineer-in-charge, fixed with cement paste about 4.0 Kgs/sqm, fully buttering cement slurry on back, fixed to correct line, level and plumb over the plastered surfaces. Joints shall be well cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved readymade grout, all leads and lifts, polished to all exposed faces, corners and edges, semi rounded, providing required SS screws, SS pins, studs, cleaning, curing, drilling, grinding edges etc. complete at all heights and leads all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing ISI marked 35mm thick Block board nondecorative type single/double leaved Flush Door Shutter as per IS 2202, core of solid block board construction with frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched commercial 3 ply veneering and fixing with ISI marked S.S hinges all as per drawings and specifications including providing lipping all around with second class teak wood battens of size 25mm minimum depth on all edges of shutter (overall area of shutter is to be measured) . The cost shall include materials and labour, all as per technical specifications complete as per specifications and dispose the same from the site by the contractor as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (The cost of S.S. hinges only will be paid under relevant item).

Providing and fixing 30 mm thick WPC (wood plastic composite) Flush door shutters of minimum density 0.6 gm/cm3 with specified color and pattern of design. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note : 1. WPC Door sample to be got approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before procurement. 2. The quoted rate shall include cost of fixtures, paint mentioned above including the WPC shutter and frame.

Providing and fixing Stainless steel double ball bearing butt hinges of size 100 x 75 x 3 mm thick for hollow steel door of approved complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing and fixing hand rail using 304 grade Stainless Steel pipes or any other shape of approved size and quality by TIG welding, mirror / matt polishing, fixing at site etc. for balcony railing & staircases railing including special sections as per drawings, specifications. A sample to be fabricated and to be got approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before starting of work at site. This work to be executed through approved qualified welder etc., complete as per specifications all complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing and fixing Colour anodized (of 20 micron thickness) aluminium work for shutters, windows, ventilators, Alu Louvers, wall spans and partitions etc. with extruded built up standard tubular sections / Z Sections and other sections confirming to IS 733 and IS 1285 fixed with rawl plugs and stainless steel screws or with fixing clips or with stainless steel expansion hold fastners including necessary filling up of gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required PVC / neoprene felt etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically where ever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P brass / stainless screws all complete as per architectural drawings and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of PVC / neoprene gasket required. (Weight of the Aluminium sections shall not be less than Specified in the drawings). The work shall be carried out complete as per approved shop drawing and the relavent portion of technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing Powder coated (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron) aluminium work for shutters, windows, ventilators, Alu Louvers, wall spans and partitions etc. with extruded built up standard tubular sections / Z Sections and other sections confirming to IS 733 and IS 1285 fixed with rawl plugs and stainless steel screws or with fixing clips or with stainless steel expansion hold fastners including necessary filling up of gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required PVC / neoprene felt etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically where ever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P brass / stainless screws all complete as per architectural drawings and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of PVC / neoprene gasket required. Note for Aluminium work 1) Only anodized aluminium sections, aluminum beading, aluminium sheets & aluminium handles used will be measured for payment. The rate quoted is deemed to have included the cost of all brass concealed tower bolts, screws, gasket, weather strips, PVC lining, etc. and no seperate measurement / payment will be made for the same. 2) Glass, particle boards, aluminium grills, brass mesh, louvers, etc. will be measured & paid separately under relevant items. 3) All fittings shall be of matching colour anodised of aluminium sections. 4) A long M.S. Rod at both ends to be provided in all aluminium shutters in top & bottom horizontal members internally connecting vertical members and fixed with M.S. washers and nuts. No measurement and payment shall be made for this. 5) Aluminium Frames to be fixed with walls / columns with minimum 100 mm long Brass screws / Stainless steel screws and necessary hold fasts. For fixing of frames with RCC members, for Aluminium windows/louvers, doors having area of equal to 10 sq.m or above, Carbon steel zinc coated anchor fasteners shall be used. No seperate measurement and payment shall be made for these items. 6) All aluminium frame and shutters Joints shall be of mitred joints with necessary cleats/ plates. 7) Filling the gap between aluminium frame & adjacent RCC / Brick work / Stone work by providing weather silicon sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer-in-charge complete up to 5 mm depth and 5 mm width.

Providing and fixing following type of approved quality glass panes for doors/windows/ventilators/wall spans/shutters, etc. fixing with aluminium frame work including fixing aluminium channel beading (to be paid under relevent item) and providing and fixing with 2way EPDM gasketing ,to ensure water and air tightness and neoprene cushions /gasket accommadated in grooves all complete generally as per drawings specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: Glass shall be measured as per inner dimensions of the aluminium frame sections to which the glass is fixed.

NOTES FOR PAINTING WORKS: All external/internal painting works will have to be done with erecting double tubular steel scaffolding only. No jhoola/Bhada shall be permitted. Providing and applying white cement based wall putty over concrete or Plastered surface up to 3 mm thick to get uniform surface free from undulation including cleaning complete all as per technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying Wall painting Two coats on with Premium Acrylic emulsion paint to give an even shade, including a coat of approved Cement Primer, including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete all as per technical specifications and specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing, painting, finishing walls with Premium Acrylic smooth exterior paint on sand face plaster / plain plaster & concrete surfaes with Silicone additives of required shade (Two coats, each applied @ minimum1.43 ltr / 10 sqm) over and above a base coat of water proofing cement paint to be applied @ minimum 2.20 kg / 10 sqm including preparation of the surfaces, including erection of double tubular scafolding complete all as per technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing, Painting on old work (two or more coat) with premium acrylic emulsion paint of approved and manufacturer to give an even shade including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete. as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-incharge

Painting with black anti corrosive bitumastic paint of approved to give an even shade with one or more coats on old surface as directed by EIC

Providing white washing with ready mix lime powder to give an even shade over new work (two coats), including scaffolding as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in charge.

Providing and painting two coats on steel/wood surfaces (old/new) with synthetic enamel paint required colour to give an even shade over a coat of zinc chromate primer including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete all as per technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing white vitreous European type Water Closet with'P' or'S' Trap with solid seat and lid, 10 litre low level white PVC flushing cistern with manually controlled device (handle lever) conforming to IS:7231, flush bend,fixing EWC with C.P brass screws, 15mm PVC heavy quality inlet connection of 450mmlong, including testing , commissioning & cleaningetc. complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.(Samples to be got approved by the EIC)
